What I meant was Pikmin 4 wasn't in development last year at e3 when Miyamoto announced it. But hey, I'm a Nintendo fan, too. No need to argue over stuff right? ;)

Why he would said that game is almost finished if game wasn't in development at all!? That doesn't make any sense.

Game was definitely a development at least two years, and definitely was in development last year, most likely they had Wii U version near finished when they decided to project to NX.

Uh exactly, you don't full on develop non priority games, that's kinda what priority means, hence why the quote "but we’re hopefully starting to see that on the list now” implies what I said. Pikmin 4 was never a priority until recently, which means they were mainly working on other games instead of Pikmin 4, and thus there's no way it was near completion a year ago.

Doesnt mean at all, most likly game was in full devolpment in year or two ago and basicly was near completion, but in meantime Nintendo deciaded to move whole game to NX from Wii U and that requre more time and resources, but curently Pikmin isn't priority compared to some other much stronger games that Nintendo is preparing for NX launch lineup. Pikmin isn't system seller so of course they will prioritize and move resources to some much stronger games that they want to have for NX launch, when they finishe those more prioritize games they will return resources to Pikmin 4.

Priority = something that is more important than other things and that needs to be done or dealt with first. Whether Pikmin 4 was ever a Wii U game and when exactly they decided to move it to NX is just speculation, but it's safe to say 2014 was the cut-off point as that was last year for significant Wii U game announcements, so the Pikmin 4 announced in 2015 was likely either a pure NX game or already moved/being moved from Wii U.

Also the bolded, Miyamoto just said it is or atleast will be a priority now and that it never was before. The rest of your post just explains the obvious as to why Pikmin wasn't a priority which no one said otherwise about.

But that's exactly what he did with Pikmin 3! He said they were working on it at e3 a few years back even though that wasn't the truth. :p

Nope, I think they started development for Pikmin 4 for the NX right away, remember how Aonuma said Zelda U has been in development for NX for several years ? It means Nintendo knew (more or less) what NX would become years ago, So I think that if the development didn't start directly on NX then it was moved on it shortly after...
