I think Perma point wasn't of being proud of doing it, just stating that doesn't matter if any of us like it, it will happen.

You could be accurate. There is no tone of facial expressions after all. Constantly talking about it being on the PC and it being "better" certaintly sounds like being proud/bragging about it.

Specially combined with the earlier comment of "I still have a ton of fun emulating some old games from the SNES/PSX era on my PC"

Well you could also be right, but I won't judge without more info

One question I had for pc gamers - do you have to buy a separate laptop for general use?

No. Why would I?

Give life to the forums. I'm such a nice guy.

I guess that even though VGC is against piracy in the rules, a person could say that they have the original SW on disc so they aren't pirating when emuling.

Yet I doubt anyone talking about "emulating" Uncharted 4 is going to run out and get the game. And since that came is exclusive to the console - the ps4 as well.

That is all kinds of piracy there. That people seem so proud of.

Every single game that I emulate I also have the physical copy for. You can't use a blanket statement like that.  I own the consoles for the games I emulate, but sometimes it's just better to play a game with better visuals. No piracy involved.

90% of the library which is worthwhile for pc and consoles is shared. For those third party games and console exclusives which also launch om pc, a good pc offers better performance, thus a better experience. But as I listed in my cons the PC exclusives, while there are more they usually don't come close in therms of ambition compared to halo 5, Uncharted 4, zelda etc.

You could hookup your pc to your TV and when you improvise a bit pc gaming can be quite comfortable. But it is in general less accessible than console gaming, but once you are playing you don't bother with that.

You seem to be of the mindset that I'm defending one point over the other. There's no reason a PC setup can't be as comfortable as a couch setup. However, some of my all-time favorite games (Bloodborne, inFAMOUS, Demon's Souls, Shadow of the Colossus, etc.) are only [legally] available on console. For this reason, I'm actually putting that 10% of games on a fairly high priority.

However, that's just what I like. Other people don't have my same taste in gaming.

I pretty much own every single good PS4 exclusive and I love them all and wouldn't want to miss out on Sony's exclusives. But I put my previous comment in the general view of console vs pc not my own view. I prefer consoles over PC, mainly because of that 10%, but I wouldn't deny that PC is able to offer a superior experience for the masses.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Isn't most a bit of an overstatement?

That's the console/PC debate in a nutshell

Oi vei... Isn't video gaming supposed to be fun, no matter what you play it on?

Let's not forget that the masses as a whole are typically intimidated by PC gaming (setup and cost). And while it would be subjective to bring games into the picture, it can also be true that "experience" is a subjective benchmark in itself.

I would argue that PC offers superior performance and customization, because those things can be measured and proven. But things like experience vary from person to person.

When it comes to PC. (It's not a matter of "if" but "when") it will be vastly superior.

Nintendo games are on PC. And they look better than the originals.

Only a matter of time for the PS4 to happen.

Do you realize that you still would play console games on your PC via emulation? And isnt that what speaks for console gaming if you can play all your console  purchases with better performance on PC? So the entire power argument for PC Gaming becomes irrelvant

How much superior would Uncharted 4's PC version be compared to the ps4 version if the game released on both platforms? That's the real question (a question that unfortunetely will never get an answer like it happens with many console exclusive games).  Anyway most exclusives are ps4 - pc or Xbox - pc now so PC is the platform that benefits the most from the console war getting the most games and 99% of the time the best version available.

This is what the Neo is for, you dont need a PC for that soon enough

By the time Neo and Scorpio come out new GPU and processors will be released (and will have been released) and those consoles will be mid-end hardware as much.
