Anyone watch The Catch? Is a series and horrible cringe worthy. It has similar themes where intelligent good characters are women, the bad guys are men and it even has a token, shy and geeky guy in it that helps the female leads.

However, watching it is my guilty pleasure -_-

the female version of a lot of bad men series =p

Like?

What's the man version of this? I was thinking of oceans eleven but that doesn't portray women as evil.

Well, I was thinking like Flash and Arrow that have the geek female helper... but yes most series and movies have males as vilain (arrow had 2 lead female vilains for a few episode)

Geeky female helpers like Black Canary, White Canary, Speedy, Hawkgirl?

You had none of those in the first season of both series... but if you haven't seem a lot of series with male protagonist with few female supporters then you haven't watched that many series.

But why are you worried about the point?

Because I don't think it's true. And I'm trying to think of some but cannot.

Series with female vilains are very rare from what I remember as well (I would say Sherlock with Moriart and Watson as female and maybe how to get away with murder - I don't thrust that teacher) but it was quite common to have squads with most male protagonists an none or few females. But it doesn't even matter, the post about being the feminine equivalency was a joke anyway.

True, but the difference with The Catch is they go out of their way in pretty much every episode to tell the audience that men cannot be trusted.

Looks like a lifetime movie to be honest.

I dunno - game of thrones? The Darkness and Abadon in Supernatural? Eliza Dushku's character in Buffy. Lots of them in American Horro Story. Revenge. There's quite a few of them. It's not very rare.

I see... haven't seen it. Is it at least good to laugh?
