Hands down the SNES era. Awesome game library and gamers werent dicks back then.

The 3rd. Why? Because the back then, games were stripped down to the essence of "game". No bloat. No bells and whistles. Nothing but pure "game". Can't get better than that.

It's also why games from the 4th generation and back never seem to age or go out of style. You can play a game of SMB3, Pac-Man or Galaga and always have fun but try playing through GTA3 50 times. It's not possible because of all the bloat and excess.

Good comment, good comment.

Any pre-internet generation.

I would say the 4th and 5th gen.I know I should choose one, but I cant bring myself to do it.One is arguably the best generation ever(for me anyways), and the other has the single biggest step in gaming, from going to 2d to 3d, with some of the best games of all times, like OOT and Mario 64 and Goldeney..And both were part of my childhood, so there that too.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

PS2 generation

PSn - greencactaur
Nintendo Switch FC - SW - 5152 - 6393 - 5140 Please feel free to add me :)

I'd probably go with 4th gen. There were a lot of games I missed out during that gen, and while I enjoyed a lot of the greats in the 4th gen, I would have liked to have played more during that time.

32-bit/PSX generation. It was the best console of all time. SO many great RPGs.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

From SNES/Genesis era to PS2/GameCube era

None of them. I don't live the past. Sure, I have my favorite gens but they've been over a long time ago.
