Forums - Nintendo - People needs to calm down in regards of Breath of the Wild

It's kind of odd, in a way. I mean, the environment looks amazing but what I've seen of the combat and enemies, they're just kind of ... good. Not bad but also not the most amazing things in the world. Elder Scrolls, to me, is about exploring, about the atmosphere and mystery, about finding demons, vampires, and dragons around the corner, or maybe a crack in the earth that will take you to the depths of hell. I'm not sure BoW will have that level of engagement with the overworld.

In that regard, I think the true quality of this game is going to hinge on the dungeons, which we haven't seen yet, have we? The dungeons will be the element that takes this game to the next level or not.

As far as towns go, I'm different than most rpg fans, as I reached the height of my enjoyment of towns long ago and now I just want them to be as convenient as possible.

Combat and enimes IMO are looking pretty good, you have so many posbilites how you fight with enime (you can throw them bomb, set them on fire, throwing hammer on them, push rock on them, blow away theme from clif...), also AI of enemies looks pretty good, for instance you have gif where one enemy takes TNT barrel and through on Link and killing him instantly, those mini boss fights look also great...all that looks like best comparind to all other Zeldas.

Thing about Elder Scrolls exploration is that become boring pretty fast beacuse its all very similar, and that was never problem with Zelda games.

Well its the only upcoming game that Wii U fans are HYPED ABOUT! And future NX fans.

Hype would be same even there is 10 Wii U games left because game looks amazing and actually it's fucking Zelda. :)

Lol.... good luck with that. Ninty people hype everything to all hell and back. By their standards, almost every Nintendo game made is the best game in the world. Let them have their fun.

That's of course not true, also I never saw hype of this level for any Nintendo game and that's because game itself not because "its just onother Nintendo game".

Also it's not about Ninty people, for instance IGN said that Zelda is game of E3 show.

When a game series has been relevant for over 25 years, it's understandable that people are losing their shit about a BIG change in game play style.
NO MATTER WHAT, people will be talking about this game for the next year plus.

Actually this year is 30th anniversary of Zelda. :)

Honestly, I doubt the NX version will look dramatically different.

If NX does turn out to be a system in the ballpark of PS4/Xbone, we're probably looking at 1080p/30fps with tweaks to things like textures, shadows, and draw distance, but not a drastic overhaul.

I dunno.  You may be right that the game may still run at 30fps (although I'm hoping for 60), but for some reason I'm thinking we're going to see a pretty big difference between versions in the end.  Basically, compare the 2014 E3 debut to this year's showing.  I'm really hoping for the former's visuals on NX:

I am certain that will not be 60 fps, there is not single 3D Zelda game that runs on 60fps including Zelda remastered on 3DS and Wii U, Nintendo think Zelda doesn't need 60fps like some other Nintendo games.

From NX version I expecting/hope 1080p/30fps, AA/AF and without any pop in.

I'm gonna stay hyped, sorry.

I think that it is very nice that the hype for Zelda BotW comes from things like Shield Surfing, Cooking, Mountain Climbing, Rolling Stones and Burning Grass. Most other hype for games nowdays comes from Resolution and Frames Per Second.

Even if there are lots of open spaces with not much in them, I think there will be a fast travel system.

I know there might be a horse, shield surfing, but I can't see myself doing those things when I just want to get on with quests and side dungeons etc.

I can e this being more like Fallout and the Witcher compared to previous Zelda games but without the adult themes.

Also, this is Zelda. It is impossible for it not to get bored, people in masses not to get hyped and overall hyperness deflating. It's almost like questioning Gravity or life itself.

Nintendo would need to seriously fuck things up for people not to be hyped and so far I'm seeing more positive change than bad (the negative being if there are large empty walks with no fast travel).

I just can't help but feel hyped about such a fun looking and good-looking game. Also, it helps that 3D Zeldas have yet to disappoint me.

Or, we can have the option to hype ourselves up, regardless of what the result is and you can go sit in a corner and do whatever you want.

I've never been hyped for a Zelda game before, can't I be just this once?
