Forums - Politics - EU Falling Apart - Consequences?

One more thing, I worked on several million € projects in the past. The projects are mainly done with immigrants from Poland, Greece and so on. These workers are cheaper and so the costs of these projects are kept on a low. They do the dirty work most of the time, which is paid really badly, but better paid than back at home. So, this will be gone. Costs will rise for future projects, this could lead to more jobs inside the country, but probably badly paid ones.

Hello there from the Great state of Texas (soon to secede from the Feds). With the country of Germany footing a huge part of the EU's tax burden, there is no way they are staying in after watching the Brits leave. They will be next to leave.

Also hopefully this means there won't be a North American Union forced down the US's throat, since they couldn't make it work in Europe.

I can asure you that germany will be the last to leave the EU.

This, Germany pretty much is the core of the EU, it would be like suggesting that the ref in a game of soccer would give himself a red card.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Norway, a non-EU country, will stop getting fucked by a union we have rejected twice.

OK, assure me then and explain why the German people won't force a vote on leaving the EU.

Because it's not possible to 'force a vote'.

And the German government wouldn't voluntarily give them a vote either since they effectively run the EU. Why would they want out when they're the boss?

Oh yes it is my friend. Politics is a multi faceted tool that can be used to leverage politicians to do what the people want. It depends on what dirt they can dig up on the politicians. Politics is and always will be as filthy and dirty as it was during the Roman Empire. Human nature has not changed in thousands of years.

This may be off topic, but I seriously don't understand and do not want the EU to shatter and fall apart. I'm not from Europe (so I dont know details) but I've always thought that the whole world should try to achieve that: Union, team work and globalization. Nations should be joining and working together to expand, not freaking separate and leave grudges between countries!

It might be hard to achieve, and I doubt something like it will happen in my life, but I think we can do it, and hope Brexit leaves a huge mark on history.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

The consequences will only be temporarily as things need to be adjusted.
I never liked EU, in reality EU have made my country worse, they only take billions and billions of our tax-money and we basically get nothing back.. EU have been used as a economical tool to strengthen the German and Austrian economy, because the only groceries that can be bought in full pledged EU members countries are made in Austria, it's basically a monopoly by force.. We at least still got our own product's but we would loose our local farms, oil and fish-industries in the hands of EU..

The leaders of EU have been far to isolated from the real world, they don't see the world as they should.. They live in their tiny-bubbles and like all people, they care more about their own then other's, which i do so myself time to time..

Heck.. We didn't even vote yes to be a part of the EUS deal.. Our government refused our ''NO'' and signed us in anyway.. Which means that our presence in EU is nothing but forced upon us and the EUS deal is ten times worse then official membership which is why 10 of the other countries refused to take it, and EU made a deal with our ''then minister'' to get us involved against our will. Now she works for EU and makes tons of money and she doesn't even pay taxes.. yet stole our tax-money..

Corruption and greed never fails to amaze.. I am sure there are some young people here who sees it differently, i am sorry, i might be wrong but so could you.

It did? Don't you think that the skilled engineers working in Germany (I don't know about Austrian) are the ones who should receive the fame? Or maybe it's the German Abilities(?), Skills(?), Stubbornness(?), Motivations(?), or Detemination(?) and so on that brought them there where they are?

Brexit could even be positive for EU integration. A lot of people now are scared of what is going to happen in Britain. Take the spanish vote, the so called populist parties have both lost. And it's not even clear if and when britain will go through with this exit thing, they don't have a plan. In the meantime economic situation will worse in UK and people will put the blame on brexiteers. The point is brexit now doesn't look that appealing. So it's not going to push other countries in that direction.

I won't defend european leaders as they can do a better job. But the tax thing is BS. Just with the brexit the UK has already lost more money than it has contributed to the EU. So, that really isn't smart reasoning.

Also, its technicly impossible for austria to supply the whole of europe.

The most funniest thing is actually of them not having a plan.

It's like being on a ship with not actually knowing if it will sink or not. You still make the jump and think: "Fuck, I should've taken the rescue boat with me". Now you are floating in an open sea and have to come up with a plan.

Well, in reality, they are still standing on the railing and didn't have made up there mind. And every other passenger is screaming: "JUMP!"
