Yep, as long as the ports are decent.
Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

If you are thinking about or going to buy NX, will you buy third party titles? | |||

If I buy the NX and Nintendo is committed to 3rd party support- not just at launch but thru the life of the system and does what it takes to get a healthy variety , I ll buy the games our family wants- I bought plenty 3rd party games on the wii u early in it s lifespan since most of Nintendo s were delayed

Yeah, I have to admit, after Wii U, I'm very wary of buying an NX. I don't want to buy another platform that ends up with drought after drought, delay after delay, and too many lazy/safe titles instead of ambitious ones. Nintendo have a lot to prove if they're going to convince me to buy another console from them. |
well said- i feel the same way- Nintendo has to prove itself 1st- before i buy the NX- if i buy it
If they are great and not missing features or gaining price compared to other versions then it's not even an question, of course! I'm about 50/50 on my WiiU collection (which takes some effort considering what was offered)
However there is an established track record in the last couple of gens with third parties trying to get away with some pretty crummy practices towards Nintendo console owners. Any developer that even looks like they are giving the console less than a 100% concerted effort; with 'test' games or last year's versions rebadged or missing features because 'research tells us Nintendo gamers don't want.......', can blow me.
I don't care what your gaming preferences or your console allegiances are, no one wants to feel like they are being ripped off.
Definitely some of them if they are actually good ports.
Not when they are also released on the PC and are therefor Superior.

I will buy what I'm interested in, I've always done that.

I hope they prove me wrong, obviously, I have owned nearly all Nintendo Consoles since my first buy in 1985 but I have been dissapointed in the Wii and Wii U personally, so they need to impress. If they have a good line up, third party support returns and they have a good standard controller, I would love to go back to the big N to play their amazing games, they do make those, its the hardware and online functionality that has been terrible.

If I find something interesting, I don't care for the publisher. The most interesting stuff comes from Nintendo, though. So yeah, if it's good, I might buy it.
If a third party dev makes a good game that interests me, then I'll buy their game.
