Maybe Capcom just doesn't want to put it on the Wii.

There's other reasons to put or not put a game on a system besides profit.

I signed it. Capcom has to be watching. Both RE games have doubled or tripled expectations for Wii, and there is a petition for almost 40000 names on it... I would buy this for Wii for Wii controls, then maybe later to play(rent since I would have already beaten it) the same game... but in HD(I don't know if it would work as well the other way around).



End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Because despite starting on the PS1, the entire series was brought over onto the Gamecube while the PS2 got scraps like Gun Survivor and Outbreak.

This game is desired for the Wii largely on principle, not passion. That's another thing I don't don't understand. Why would not want another console? You're a passionate gamer, right? Therefore, more game to choose from means a more enjoyable gaming exerience. I've seen another post of yours that expessed interest in a bevy of games games that are on the 360 or PS3. If you buy one, not only do you get Resident Evil, you also get those games you were interested in. Also, there are things the HD consoles do better than the Wii such as online play. 

I hate Nintendo more than you hate Sony, but I still have to have a Wii because of some first party games. What I don't understand is how you could flat out not want another system. I can see why you hate it, but not wanting it is something I don't understand.

Resident Evil 4 was a game that broke the mold for the series because of a revolutionary director and development team who were behind the game.

Now the director has long since left Capcom and a different team has been asigned to RE5 promising a game more like the the early ones.

Trust me, if I really thought this game would in any way live up to RE4 I might just buy it for the 360, but I can easily wait if I must. Plus DMC4's fall from grace in contrast to DMC3 was more than enough to convince lightning doesn't strike twice.

Because I don't want to invest in consoles that shit on Backwards Compatibility and from every indication are the beginning of the end for a trend in gaming. That's just me though.

@onimusha: why? played and enjoyed RE1, 2 and 3 on ps1. I played and enjoyed RE4 on wii. Why would a game series "belong" to a console producer? I dont get what you want to indicate here.
