I'm not trying to change it, I'm saying it serves no purpose. I know what you're saying, as I've already acknowledged it's obvious and common sense stuff. What I don't get is why you're even saying it if not to challenge what I'm saying considering you replied to me. That's what you need to actually elaborate on.

Besides the point, again. I nor anyone questioned or asked why the rule was ignored. See I don't get this, I'm directly challenging what you said about thread spam being subjective, yet you've completely ignored that in favor of unnecessarily extrapolating on bits of my post, so now I'm confused as to what you're even trying to accomplish here.

Why do I need to challenge what you said if it's already reality?.

The spam is subjective ebcause when someone points out that there is spam, others tend to ignore what they like and thus do not consider it as spam, hence why we keep seeing plenty of Neo, NX, PSVR threads that end up spamming the recent hot topics list daily. If everyone had the same level of caring and stuck to the rules in an objective sense then we'd see less or no spam threads at all, they happen regardless because no one seems to give a damn, but only do when it's something they dislike or don't like seeing a lot of, you know like the times where some folk kept complaining about there being too many NX threads and those making them didn't really seem to want to stop nor see an issue with it.

People know there are rules, some just don't care and some only care when it does or doesn't happen to them.

The question is what are you trying to accomplish, your "oh well" part earlier hinted at some slightly irriration of sorts, like someone going in a huff, at least where I come from that's what that type of reponse exhibits (also checked with a friend to make sure and yes it does show irriation to an answer).

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

"L has come to" quote killed.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Psshh, it's only a reality now with your latest post here.

What actually is and what people consider do not go hand in hand. A lot of people myself included don't consider Color Splash to be a real Paper Mario game, but it undeniably is a Paper Mario game unfortunately. As a more relevant example, this thread which is nothing but a video and two words, some will try and say it isn't spam, but it could have easily gone in the Zelda thread, that aswell is undeniable and that is the logic the mods use.

Oh people do care about rules... when they're actually enforced. My initial post as you've seen before is pointing out the lack of enforcement, which means double coming from myself since the same rule was enforced against me to the greatest lengths possible.

You're the one who replied to me, I'm just responding to you. You're reading way too much into two words. The oh is just that, "oh!" as in, surprised that you're actually saying such obvious stuff, and the rest of the sentence was just shrugging it off.

Cool. Now I need to just forget about the game until 2017 so I don't die of impatience.

If you've been following the start before I even entered it was a reality.

What people consider and don't consider spam seems to go hand in hand on this site from the history of watching the dod random user going "this is spam it should be in X thread" and then being ignored from there on out or argued with, the arguing point displays that some already consider differently to the one complaining in the first place.

SOme people don't care about the rules though, that is why they are broken at times, this goes for just about everything with a rule. Those that care about said rules are those that usually get caught out or want to catch someone out, those that follow the rules in general won't need to think or put much effort into wanting to break said rules.

See the rule being used against you shows that you fit into one of the categories I mentioned above, you are that one guy as well with the quoted example that tells others that X info belongs in Y thread, that same game that isn't going to do this for literally every single thread for years and years, I know because you won't, no one will because it's always going to be subjective, one day you won't consider a thread as spam or it will be to your liking and then someone like me will step in and fill your shoes, the circle will complete itself and all that remains is to recognize the reflection.

I don't think I;m reading too much or too hard, saying "oh well I guess" definitely does have a hint of emotion attached to it, especially the way it was written, that didn't require much thought towards it and asking a mate if he could feel and describe what eharing that sounds like didn't take much either, I could actually got he distance if you;d like and ask some more people tomrorow. Would you want me to look that hard into it?. See that last part is giving you away now, you could at least be a bit more brunt and upfront when shrugging what people say off so easily.

What I said about actuality vs. consideration applies no matter where you are. And again, there is a set criteria for spam that the mods use whenever they actually do lock or prevent threads. Official threads existing is a big one. A mod recently said in the Zelda BotW thread that they'd start cracking down on the excessive Zelda threads, but as we can see that never happened.

"when they're actually enforced." Obviously not every single person is gonna adhere to the rules 100% of the time, but they'd do so more often if there's actually bite behind the bark. They cracked down on me and look, I don't make any more "spam" threads.

The rule being used against me but not others who're are also breaking the same exact rule only shows hypocrisy (maybe not the right word but you get the idea). Two threads falling under the same exact reasoning for locking, yet only one is locked, that ain't right no matter how you try to spin it.

Don't believe me telling you what I meant, fine, not my problem!

The set criteria as far as things go varies from mod to mod, hell there are plenty of cases of simple copy+paste article jobs that go unnoticed a lot of the time with only one liners from the op added towards the end, copying the entire article is against the rules as far as things go and that is ahrdly cracked down on and yet people don't seem to care either and just roll with it.

Mods didn't need to crack down on me to not make any spam threads, I just know it's a silly idea and it shows.

The hypocrisy is plenty on the site as there have been folk who were perma banned from the site only to have such a final punishment lifted and given another chance despite the fact that a perma ban means you're gone for good, just breaking that golden rule alone shows hypocrisy but I digress.

You're doing it again, extrapolating on a bits of my post without any point in doing so. I'm just gonna ignore all that from now on.

As for the only the things you've said that do challenge what I'm saying, "The set criteria as far as things go varies from mod to mod," no it does not, only whether or not they decide to act on it, and mods are somewhat of a hive mind in that they can get together on these things. "Mods didn't need to crack down on me to not make any spam threads, I just know it's a silly idea and it shows." Uh, good for you? That does not at all prove that actually enforcing rules makes people more likely to follow them isn't true.

You do that and convey the emotions to me in doing so.

You seem to have this set up like some game where you "challenge" me to some form of debate battle in roder to win something, there is nothing to win nor gain from our discussion, so I don't know why you felt you even needed to but I digress.

Actually they aren't a hive mind, I know this because I talk to two of them now and then and I know exactly what does and doesn't go on around here thank you very much.

You seem to have something going on besides what else you are trying to convey to me, no need to respond to me (both bolded) in such a manner unless you are willingly going to stoop to ignoring someone, I honestly don't see the point in bothering since it shows you weren't going to take things seriously.

Needless to say I don't care what emotions I'm conveying to you.

You came at me, so again I ask, if not to challenge what is your purpose here then? Yes I'm not gonna take someone who's essentially just rambling while ignoring my points seriously.
