Forums - Sony - Monster Hunting Ban Lifted!

Monster Hunter Portable 2G went on sale in Japan/HK/Taiwan yesterday. A lot of my friends have packed their backpack and went hunting since then. I guess I won't be able to see them for awhile While I am here evny them enjoying the latest hunting season, here are some photographs from Famitsu depicting the sale events of this AAA title in Japan. Expect to see PSP sale explosion (in Japan) next week.

SOLD OUT, SOLD OUT, everywhere~ Some places sold out in 1 hour.

PSP+MHP2G bundles: I wish I were there to buy one too.....

On this buyer's right hand side, what are those books that look as thick as telephone books? Yes, that is the strategy guide for MHP2G @_@

This is why MHP is so popular in Asia.

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

Misleading title.

Where are the real monsters?

What's with the guys in surgical masks in pic 7?

I always love pictures of Japanese people going crazy over a new game. Especially a PSP game this time =)

Thanks for sharing.

in japan it's normal to wear such a mask, if you have a cold

 That's nice.  Here people will just cough all over you if they have a cold. :|

@Galaki,
Famitsu reporters used these words "狩猟解禁". In English, they translate into "hunting ban lifted" or "hunting season opened". I think they are very cleverly used to describe how Monster Hunter fans feel about the arrival of MHP2G.

Yeah, I saw your signature few days ago and was wondering when did you make that bet.

When Capcom first announced MHP2G last year, I felt the same way too.  But Monster Hunter has gained a lot of momentum since then.  I guess the launch of PSP slim must has helped quite a bit.

Well, good for Sony and Capcom. More for Sony, though, I'd say. This is going to keep the system looking alive awhile longer.
