Wonders why there was never a Fire Emblem game on the Wii U after FE:A success....

A new Monster Hunter game on NX would be awesome I'm sure.

Big question is though what the hell is the NX? Is it a hybrid system (it better share same library to avoid droughts)? Are they releasing a hand held and home console at the same time? Too many questions still for me to beg for a proper library.

The biggest question of them all...

Where the fuck is my F-Zero?

Oh and how I miss you Advance Wars...

Around the Network

If you say anything goes then Nintendo buys Capcom and makes all their games exclusive to NX. They then throw lots of money at Take Two to make the next GTA exclusive to NX. The internet would then explode thus shutting up everyone demanding Nintendo to have a better online service.

I wish that NX doesn't get any game so that it will fail completely and that Nintendo does a 180 degree turn.

Thanks for being a killjoy.

lol, Nintendo STD. That makes me giggle. I'm such a child

Can I say what I don't want? Or, put another way, what wouldn't sell me on NX? An early emphasis on mascot platformers. I think that was a real mistake with the Wii U. Instead, start out with more variety.

No, it doesn't have to be M-rated games. They just need new IP that are different from the type of game that is generally associated with Nintendo.

Something like ReCore. Something like The Last Guardian. Something like God Eater. Something like Dragon Quest, Gravity Rush, or Persona.

Just ... something new and exciting that will make non-Nintendo fans look closer, that has a different vibe.

Now, that being said, I'm thinking the big emphasis is going to be on IP that can move Amiibo.

I really wish Nintendo would retire Amiibo.

I can deal with game "droughts" and unambitious projects, but I have a hard time reconciling myself with Amiibo, which are basically physical DLC. I know it's a cash cow for Nintendo, but it seems to me a cynical business practice.

For your other point, it's well taken. Nintendo needs to diversify its portfolio in terms of genre. It's got platformers and action-adventure games on lockdown, but it could use more RPGs. Monolith Soft is one of the best - if not THE best - in the industry, but it can only turn out so many games. Nintendo has a homegrown RTS, so that base is probably covered. I know shooters aren't exactly in Nintendo's wheelhouse, but it proved it could make a great and popular shooter with Splatoon. So why not explore that genre a little more? Since Free Radical went downhill, Nintendo hasn't had a premiere first-person shooter. And maybe it's time to subsidize a sim racer. When was the last time Nintendo had something to rival Gran Turismo? 1999?
