Forums - Gaming - Sony's Shuhei Yoshida on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Very cool of Shusei. A great looking/playing game is a great looking/playing game. Period.

Oh and nice try. You basically did it on purpose trying to make a point because I was wrong and had nothing to say, thinking that I wouldn't give a reply. Oh and the fact that you said it 4 times multiple minutes apart should also be obvious :).

And the fact that this post is different from the rest is obvious. I'm done with you.

Because editing does not exist? And lol at the bolded conspiracy theory.

Niether of the two, of course it might seem more likely for Horizion to have "copied" Zelda since the latter was the first to be announced and belongs to one of the most important series in gaming, but still I'm shure Horizon was in development for quite some time before E3 2014, who knows, maybe the Nintendo Ninjas introduced in the Guerilla headquarters and stole some ideas...

Horizon has been in development 2011. But the thing is, how? Would it be the fact that you ride mounts, ie Horses and Robot Dinosaurs and shoot off them? Because I'm pretty sure you could do that in Shadow of the Colossus, a 2005 game. And the thing is, we saw more Horizon gameplay from E3 2015 than we did of The Legend of Zelda for The Game Awards in December 2014.

Just an addition/correction: You could do that in Ocarina of Time, a 1998 game.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

You'd never see a Nintendo praise a Sony game.

"General Manager of Nintendo UK David Yarnton spoke about the range of software that can be found on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 with the ability to encourage industry growth, even citing LittleBigPlanet from Media Molecule as a "fantastic example" of such software"

I have a better one: You'll never see Lawlight saying something not bad about Nintendo.

Lawl.

Gold. Another backfired post from Lawlight.

Sorry, didn't read the whole thread.

But in any case, this goes to show that these days nothing is 100% new as we have tons of games currently (some very creative), and if you look up into it... you'll eventually find a game that already did something that seems unique now.

Giving my personal point of view/opinion here: I don't think Breath of the Wild is the most innovative open world game ever or anything like that (that would be Ocarina of Time and GTAIII), but I truly believe the way it mixes key elements from many games, like the ones you mentioned, makes it an unique/creative/different package.

Even he is praising it, just like he praised 3DWorld, the man has good taste after all.

Yeah, he likes nintendo and owns 2 Wii Us for his kids mostly though, he uses them as well and has gotten banned from miiverse twice XD once for writting:

"i heart* PS"

And to the OP: i can totally see why he would compare the two.

When things like that happens console wars look more stupid than ever.

Now I wonder if this man has any opinion about Splatoon, probably his kids have one.

I think a partnership (sony building the hardware) and Nintendo making exclusive for that hardware would skyrocket both sony and Nintendo and the console industry in a new golden age.

Just think about it.
The big blockbuster ip's from sony
The creative minds and legendary nhistoric.characters of Nintendo.

I really believe if sony and Nintendo would work together it will benefit us all.

Personal thought: I stated previously here on VGChartz that the latest gameplay shown at E3 of Horizon  resembled the E3 2014 trailer for Zelda and it looks like I'm not the only one to think so...

You mean firing an arrow while riding a horse?

Welcome to 2005?

fighting a Spider-like Robot with bow and arrows while riding some sort of animal and going slow-mo on the final shot. Still I'm not accusing anyone of anythig, the two scenes have differences, but I find them quite similar for what I've written above...
