Don't pay those people any attention. You know the truth. As long as you have something great to play, don't worry about other people's opinions! They don't change reality.

I'm not bothered about people lying or deliberately overlooking titles, all I'm concerned with is how ignorance can lead to weaker sales.

I understand.

I personally just quit being emotionally invested. Not saying that's a good thing. It's just what happened. I've played great games, for my personal tastes, that struggled with sales (ie:  Gravity Rush, Valkyria Chronicles, Bayonetta 1&2, Rise of the Tomb Raider) and it used to bother me. Now I just play them and I'm thankful for them.

The emphasis on the gameplay simplicity is so real that I'm starting to worry... Casuals/scrubs are saving the industry from one perspective, but destroying it from the other.

Damn good point. Something I thought about with the new God of War.  Worthy of discussion.

There's little point in getting emotionally attached to anything that isn't of great importance, but it would be nice to see further games from a franchise you like and that's where the problem of low sales actually affects us. It's also annoying to witness ignorance dressed up as 'logical thinking'.

I know. I used to make that same argument back in the "You can't play sales" days. Here's hoping Nier 2 does well. It's looking like a worthy purchase, even if the first one wasn't for me.

I don't need to.

I loved Nier. I love that world that Toro or whatever he is called makes... and i love platinum game's action games.

This has been a day 1 buy since it was announced.

The Bosses movements set is impressive. While camera angle transitions actually determine a change in Gameplay.

I simply don't understand why Sony decided to cut this off their conference. This is a console seller for me at least.

really cool. i like the stil and characters.
i hope the best for the story, the gameplay is really great : )

I have a mighty need for this game. The Drakengard/Nier games have always had interesting stories and characters but were plagued by the purest of janky gameplay. And now Platinum is on it.

The only bummer is the game getting snubbed at the Sony conference, though a lot of worthy games did admittedly. It seems Sony wanted to focus on Western games and didn't showcase any Japanese games like Nier or even Gravity Rush 2.

I wouldn't assume it was Sony snubbing them but rather Japanese developers wanting full control over the advertising of their franchises. Person 5 is a perfect example of that.
