I personally just quit being emotionally invested. Not saying that's a good thing. It's just what happened. I've played great games, for my personal tastes, that struggled with sales (ie:  Gravity Rush, Valkyria Chronicles, Bayonetta 1&2, Rise of the Tomb Raider) and it used to bother me. Now I just play them and I'm thankful for them.

There's little point in getting emotionally attached to anything that isn't of great importance, but it would be nice to see further games from a franchise you like and that's where the problem of low sales actually affects us. It's also annoying to witness ignorance dressed up as 'logical thinking'.
