ok and lets also throw in NES, SNES, GB, GBA, DS, Wii which were all market leaders with a strong family friendly image.

I was talking home consoles, should've made that more clear. NES had no competition. SNES was released in a time when video games were still very much for children. The family friendly image doesnt help consoles anymore, there is a reason why teh best selling ones of the past decade havent had it. Wii sure, but people were buying that cause of motion control (i know i did) how well would Wii have sold without it?

So just arbitrary reasons why those consoles dont count and Wii U failed because of being aimed at families......

You just have to see sells to understand why it isnt being made.
F-zero GX was a really high budget game, aswell as series of metroid prime - and it sold badly compared to other games of mario series or els, so its just not effective
Yeah, we can hear a lot of fans wanting that, but its just little percent of needed to outsell

I didnt say Wii U failed cause of that, but it was one of the MANY reasons it didnt do well. Ninty portables generally have no competition, PSP was the only one that came close.

I dont agree that a strong family focus is really a big reason, it had a bunch of T/M rated games in its first year that kinda negates that.

All Nintendo handhelds had competition, just because Nintendo completely dominated doesnt mean they didnt exist. Atari Lynx (1989), NEC TurboExpress (1990), Sega Game Gear (1991), Sega Nomad (1995), Neo Geo Pocket (1996), Tiger Game.com (1997), WonderSwan (1999), SwanCrystal (2002), Nokia N-Gage (2003), Tapwave Zodiac (2004), Gizmondo (2005).

for a consumer/toy/entertainment co, Nintendo does a horrible job communicating with its customers/target audience

Someone in this thread said the Wii U was/is obviously a Family Console but that is not what Nintendo communicated before during and after launch

We can see by a lot of users here saying they will have NX more powerfull than PS4Neo and they planning on release a HW perhaps on par with X1.

So because Mario Party and Paper Mario are small projects it's ok to repeatedly ignore feedback? What does that have to do with anything?

How actualy Mario Party and Paper Mario proves they ignoring feedback!? You have new Zelda like fact they dont ignore feedback.

Zelda has shown Nintendo doesn't ignore feedback for 15 years.

Wind Waker: People complained Majora's Mask was too much like Ocarina of Time and it felt like they were looking at the exact same game. We get a completely new art direction and the sailing mechanic.

Twilight Princess: Wind Waker was way too out there and was too cartoony, we want realism, a horse to ride on, and the tried-and-true Zelda formula! We get a game that builds on OoT's foundations again.

Skyward Sword: TP played it way too safe, and was too by-the-numbers! There's this  big, empty world with nothing to do in it, and combat is so archaic! You barely use items after getting them in dungeons, and the art style is so plain and dated. Zelda was barely even in the game, and felt more like a background extra than a central character. We get a game with another brand new art direction, a completely brand new battle system made from the ground up for motion controls, a different way to try to handle the problem of the overworld having big empty spaces, many new items and interesting items that are not only new to the series, but retain their usefulness throughout the game, and Zelda and Link have their strongest bond ever.

Breath of the Wild: Zelda is way too stale, every single game since OoT is trying to follow OoT too closely, things are way too linear, SS in particular was far too linear, THE GAME WOULDN'T LET YOU DO ANYTHING WITHOUT MAKING IT PAINFULLY CLEAR WHERE TO GO AND WHAT TO DO NEXT, areas were way too small, you couldn't fly in the sky at night, we're sick of companions ruining the sense of isolation and hand-holding us the whole way. We get a game that is essentially a sequel to Zelda 1 on NES, with no partners, no guidance, and one huge playground.

Oh, and don't get me started on Smash Bros.

I'm one of those people who liked Super Paper Mario far more than the others, I'd love to see a sequel of the game, without the paper gimmick. Mario RPG2 would be awesome as well.

Although I prefer the first two Paper Mario games, I'd take the SPM gameplay over these last two games.
