I have no plans to get a PS Neo.

I see it as inevitable that it will break some day

I think both Sony and MS are planning that they will never break compatibility between two 'gens', rendering gens meaningless in all practicality, so that PS4/XBONE games will play and PS NEO/XB Scorpio and even potentially whatever comes next (call it PS5/XBTWO). Just that those new console will look better and better.

So while PS5/XBTWO games may not play on original PS4/XBONE they will play on the NEO/Scorpio at lower res.

I _may_ buy the NEO after one or two years of it's release if and only if I end up buying a 4K TV.  I have no plans to buy a 4K TV within the next 5 years, but I won't say I will absolutely not buy one in the next 5 years.

Right now I'm leaning toward just waiting for the PS5 unless there's a good trade-in system in place and the gains are big enough.

I'm all for it. Right now I'm using a 1080p projector on a 100+" screen. Ive had it for about 2yrs i think. By the end of this year i plan on upgrading to a 4k projector and go a lil bigger on my screen. I would wait till jext year to do that if the neo is coming then.

Not doing this for the Neo, but im beginning to be surrounded by more and more 4K content. So next years as good a time as any to upgrade. Lifes too short.

No already got a Gaming PC. Besides, I don't think the sales will be great since you have to get a $1000 TV before you get that $650+ Console.

Planning? not quite. Contemplating, yes. My son lives out of town for University and he doesn't nave a PS4, but he part owns my PS4 at home. So I'm considering giving him our current PS4 and picking up Neo. But price definitely factors into whether or when this will happen.
