Anyone else notice the frame rate dips? Especially when the camera is rotating around Link and there's a large depth of view in the distance (so the system has to render a massive environment) it seems like the frame rate at times chugs down to definitely sub 25 fps.

It's not hugely terrible or anything but it is noticable, the Wii U is definitely struggling to run a game of this scope.

Lets hope the NX version can run at 60 fps @ 1080p.

Three things:

1 A lot of the stuttering is caused by the stream and not the in-game framerate, albeit some of it is in-game as well.

2. The game is releasing in March 2017.

3. Don't expect 60 fps on NX. You'll be disappointed.

Why not? I absolutely expect Zelda to run at 1080p60 on NX. That is assuming that they won't beef up the graphics and make it run at 30fps on NX like the dickheads that they are.

Optimization is always the last thing done in software development, and especially for games. You can expect the last few months to be purely dedicated to optimization. Nintendo also never releases high-budget games with framerate drops these days.

let's be fair, some part of XCX did lol

The game was pretty solid. Much better than most games on the market. If that is the worst Nintendo can do, then I am not too worried. Although you are right of course, I shouldn't have made such a strong statement as "never releases high-budget games with framerate drops these days. "

Nintendo can be lazy when it comes to presentation. Switching from 30fps to 60fps likely would cause many bugs in a game like this that they wouldn't want to work out. I expect a 1080p resolution on NX, but not a 60fps framerate.

It's not hugely terrible or anything but it is noticable, the Wii U is definitely sweating to run a game of this scope.

Lets hope the NX version can run at 60 fps @ 1080p, it would suck if Nintendo just ported the game to NX with no graphical enhancements like what happened with Twilight Princess.

i think its the stream, if you see this off screen gameplay, everything is smooth

or this special trailer

Oh please, could you check your facts before spreading false information? What is your proof? the trailer looked choppy as hell and then when they released the video in youtube it looked completely smooth, the same exact thing is gonna happen with the rest of the treehouse footage.

Nintendo will have the Treehouse footage uploaded very soon.

It looks MUCH better now.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Looks like NX version was the main one.

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

It's the streaming... I watched all videos pre-recorded already and the game is almost 100% fluid. But sure, the NX version might at the very least be 60fps or 100% locked 30fps.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

No it doesn't, this has already proven to be false, look the uploaded footage on youtube yourself, it looks smooth.

I'm sure the NX version will probably run fine. Wii U? I'm not so sure it's that high of a priority.

Honestly, at this point most people probably see BotW as an NX game anyway.  I know I do and that's the version I'll end up judging the game on.
