Recently I've run across some posts claiming they want to buy a WiiU because of the Legend of Zelda trailer and I just want to tell those people to hold off on that purchase since NX is not far off and for all we know, that might be backwards compatible with WiiU games or even have a better version of the next LoZ game.

On a related note, it disturbs me people will spend their money so liberally. I've seen people buy a 3DS and THEN ask what games to get for their new handheld. Similarly, people are preordering PSVR when worthy games are still tentative. People want to buy a console seemingly because of one trailer. LoZ's trailer was a really good trailer sure and I can't wait to get my hands on the game but please take a wait-and-see approach before hopping on with both feet.

And stop pre-ordering games.

I tend to preorder the day before release as reviews are out and the preorder bonus is still available lol

What if you don't want an NX? lol

Well keep in mind there are a LOT of people who don't buy consoles at launch who already plan to wait to buy the NX or really any console until it has a healthy backlog.  For those people, buying a Wii U now could be fine.  Also, if you want access to the Wii's backlog, the Wii U is useful there.  And I doubt the NX will be double backwards compatible.

You can be sure only about Wii U being cheaper than NX when NX is finally released. That includes the possibility of Wii U getting a price cut and NX launching at Wii U's current price point. For all we know, NX could be another underpowered console that can be sold for a relatively low price due to its low specs.

Good thing for this PSA. Otherwise Wii Us would have been flying off the shelves...
