im not really happy about it, the biggest draw for consoles (for me) was that devs really took advantage of the hardware, and i didnt need to upgrade every 3-4 years. a console lasted 5-7 years or so.

At $299 its replacing the current Xbox. Tons of consumers who go into stores  to browse games will not know what Project Scorpio is come this holiday. Plenty will also not care to pay $100-$150 extra for subtle graphics improvements or 4k which they can't take advantage of with their 1080p TVs.

scorpio should be 499 minimum for its 6 Tflops. probably 599 at release. Be realistic guys, you gotta pay for a better card like a computer. A 6tflops 3d card on pc is about 400 now.

so add a 1tb or 2tb hd and other junk cost of development 599 seems like the right price for scorpio.
