Well holy shit! Guess Halo 5 really did pull through digitally! And this is information months old! Guess Halo isn't really dead now...
Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

It was up for pre-order and pre-download at least a year out of the launch.

It's shipped, not sold. Sorry. 
This is just at the end of 2015 numbers, it's probably well past 5 million shipped now. Looks like Halo 5 can do 8-9 million lifetime still if it has good legs like Halo games usually do.
