Unless you have some other reason to question the source of the meat (such as the stereotype -there's probably a better word- that Chinese restaurants acquire meet from the cats and dogs that wander around the premises, and/or the place you're at gave you a bad vibe), I'd say that yes, it is meat from a cow. I suppose one could argue that if it tastes good and doesn't make you sick, then perhaps you don't need to worry yourself over the minor details such as which animal(s) the meat originated from.

On an unrelated, less verbose note, you look a lot like my wife. Not sure that you care to know that, but it's like uncanny, at least based off your present profile picture.

But steak isn't exclusive to cow you know.

You could have horsesteak right there. Which is apparently very tastefull as well. Or goatsteak. Or salmon steak but i guess you'd notice that one.
