Forums - Microsoft - XB1 Under 20m?

We've gotten different numbers from different sources, I really wouldn't put much weight to this. "Over 50 million" could easily mean 60 million. They just don't care all that much to be completely precise because it doesn't matter.

It could also mean 100million technically, giving the X1 a 20m Lead over the PS4 based on this statment, wooo hoo Go Microsoft o/

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

This bit dude, "but i guess since MS hasnt announced official numbers other companies can't come out and say the xb1 has sold so and so many units. "

If was just a load of fluff that didn't relate to anything.

I'm just saying its possible that it could be the case.. If i were the head of a branch in a company and the company decided not to release sales # i wouldnt allow my partheners to release concrete sales numbers also.

...so the partner company would release lower figures as if that wouldn't make you look worse.

Anyway, the data is taken from the end of last year where AMD announced they had crossed the 50M milestone. That could of been crossed at any point towards the end of 2015.

Data taken you mean? AMDs data of 50 million consoles was 24 hours ago. Check it.

I'm sure they know how many chips sets they've produced and sold. We know the PS4 has sold over 40m which leaves the rest for the XB1. If it was 20m then surely they'd say 'over 60m'. No?

What about other estimates from other sources? If we got 10 million shipped as of Nov 2014, no doubt in my mind its over 20 million now.

You mean the almost 10m shipped right?  That could have meant anything as well

That's one of the things that drives me nuts. They drop the 'almost' or 'approaching' and take the number literally. And here we are with a number that's 'over' 50m and people are trying to convince themselves it could be over 60m. It just doesn't make sense that 'over' 50m could be 60m because clearly AMD were trying to impress with that slide. If it was 60m then they'd say 60m. For me this is the most compelling number we've had so far.

Me too specially when the PR was pretty clear.

Lol never change VGCharz. Over 50m can be any logical number above 50m. Not just any number between 50m and 60m.

Well duh! Now apply a little common sense!

I'll give you 'over' 1/10 for that comment.

I know but the data used is old. Not sure why they haven't got updated data but it looks like the data they used is from the end of last year.
