Forums - Microsoft - XB1 Under 20m?

I meant AMD, why would they know how many Xboxes are sold.

I'm sure they know how many chips sets they've produced and sold. We know the PS4 has sold over 40m which leaves the rest for the XB1. If it was 20m then surely they'd say 'over 60m'. No?

What about other estimates from other sources? If we got 10 million shipped as of Nov 2014, no doubt in my mind its over 20 million now.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

So why not impress people even more by printing 'over 60m'?

The PS5 Exists.

Maybe they thought 50 was round enough. Maths go easier when you just use five and its multiples.

So when developers say A + B sold X amount, it's solid numbers but when the actual company that makes parts for the console say the same thing, it's downplayed.

I would be surprised if the XB1 has sold less than 20M but if you're willing to take one set of numbers serious then you should also consider these numbers.

Source?

Was that when MS said they will soon reach 10M? No announcement was ever made that they ever reached it. Sorry in advance if I missed it.

Exactly. EA might be able to estimate numbers but for solid numbers there's no one in a better position than AMD.

Its probably over 20ml by now but i guess since MS hasnt announced official numbers other companies can't come out and say the xb1 has sold so and so many units.

I have no idea;

Sure the hush of MS would make people believe that they are under 20M.

Are they using the latest shipment data or is it their internally current one ?

Can't infer unless their being specific ...

Hahahah... Excuse me, but I can't fathom what were you thinking when making the thread and a specially that title for obvious reasons!

AMD said back in January 16', that PS4+xb1 (dec 15') are ahead of ps3+xbox 360 (38.8m) by 20m in the same time frame!
Do the maths.... ( of course they must mean shipped, as companies  always refer to shipments not sales in their earnings releases !  ) Google it!
