Banjo Tooie was far better than the original. It was one of the best memories I have as a gamer and that is saying something. And the two main games sold well. Granted there was a drop off with the sequel, but it was still a 1.5mil seller practically. A third one is way overdue and would be a million seller for sure in my opinion.

Except RARE is doing that pirate game (which looks cool), Fable 4 was cancelled and Lionhead shut down, and Halo 5 was (apparently) just terrible, so many have lost hope for 6. I never played 5 so I have no opinion, but I somewhat enjoyed 4 and I think Reach was my favorite game in the series.

If you like 4 and reach you will love halo 5. But is all of Rare doing sea of Thieves? Maybe it's just a part of Rare.. I don't know much about rare I've just played their games xD

1) That was not the same type of game as 1 and 2 were. They strayed away from what made those games good.

2) It was on a different device with a different audience. Platformers do much better on Nintendo devices and even Sony devices than they do on Microsoft ones.

Considering it took like all of Rare to make the kinect sports games, which don't seem very "deep" or developmentally taxing to create, I'd imagine they do one game at a time now days, but I could be wrong.

I know lol, I sadly enough have the pile of crap, not only is it moving away from the platforming genre but it actively goes out of its way to take the piss out of the collection style of gameplay in the first two titles, it was really sad to play, that said I think I paid around €1 for it... so I wasn't really too sad.
