Banjo Tooie was far better than the original. It was one of the best memories I have as a gamer and that is saying something. And the two main games sold well. There was a third one though, and it didn't reach the 1m mark.

1) That was not the same type of game as 1 and 2 were. They strayed away from what made those games good.

2) It was on a different device with a different audience. Platformers do much better on Nintendo devices and even Sony devices than they do on Microsoft ones.
