The PS4 is a good size and doesn't really need slimming you're right.

If they do Slim-it it'll be for a few other factors. Redesigns alway increase sales over a short period but when it steadies back down it prevents yoy decline and you can do this without a pricecut.

The slim will be a more efficient build with cheaper components. More money will be made from each console sold and/or enough room to have a pricecut.

Don't get me wrong though, as a forum user and not a business, I would love to see Sony release a slim and cut the price.

Speaking about bundles: still waiting for Sony to announce a standard Uncharted 4 bundle... maybe even include The Nathan Drake Collection for some added value.

Imo, Final Fantasy marketinh won't fo a shit for PS4, at least in USA.
Really, Metal Gear Solid V sold less than 800K in an intere month, and at least in the west Metal Gear is a bigger brand.

Final Fantasy won't do over 500K first NPD.

If Sony wanna win September, they should cut the price... Or hope the XBO S won't do much well.

Those are business reasons to make a Slim.

Yes, that is something I've been surprised by. I wonder if the deal Sony made with Activision required a certain amount of COD copies to be sold? Sony were originally giving away a free copy of TLOUR but then dropped it, so just a TLOUR + Uncharted collection bundle for $350 wouldn't really break the bank. That would help boost sales of UC4 too.

They have to have reached that number long ago.

I cant imagine that them staying with xbox they would have sold anywhere near that amount of copies of CoD.

Maybe Sony are just sucking up to them. See how many more copies of it sells when you stay with us? sorta thing.

The games just released and still selling good. If they bundle it they will lose a lot of potential profit. Maybe it could be a holiday bundle.

Maybe so but I can't think of another reason Sony wouldn't offer a bundle with exclusives, unless they keen on building a portfolio of games they can eventually offer as free games on PS+? That could be one possible answer.

But let's be honest, Sony doesn't care too much about individual NPD wins.

Final Fantasy  lose for Dragon Quest  in the Japan Market, even so Final Fantasy is a franchise with 110+ Millions of units sold and Dragon Quest 65+ Millions units.

Final Fantasy will sell very well on Japan and USA, 500k is too low.
