Played the beta on PS4, the movement speed just felt too slow, and the FOV was so bad that there was no way I'd ever play it again. So, thank you Gearbox for the beta, saved me some money.

I remember thinking when they announced 12 million played the beta, that they probably lost a ton of potential sales.

Anyway, I play the game all the time on Xbone, never have trouble finding a game. I'd imagine PS4 population is higher. PC, who knows.

As for flop, would depend on 2k's expectations I guess.

That's the tragic thing, their marketing screwed them royally cause they didn't distinguish themselves.  Watching a lot of their ads and you could easily assume it's just like Overwatch.  Bad marketing.  

As for PC, SteamSpy estimates put it at 114 - 130k.  

 

As for the game being a flop...I hate to say I hope so.  Gearbox has been flaunting and taunting people with how they conned - yes *conned*, that's what I consider this - players into buying the steaming pile of crap that is Aliens: Colonial Marines for years.  Whether game deserves it or not, don't know, but hey.  Karma's a bitch.

The Sales are really low, for sure not what they were expecting to sell. And when a Game, after a few weeks is already on Sale, on Both Xbox Live and PSN-Store (in the EU for 40 Euro since today), then that tells a lot.

Bayonetta 2 received better reviews than Black Ops 3, but Black Ops III sold more than 20 times as much.

Absolutely not a coincidence. ;)

It definitely is one of them. I knew it wouldn't sell well, but I didn't think it would be to this extent. I'm actually somewhat surprised how poorly it sold.

It's cause Gearbox is literally a one trick pony!

The only relatively good franchise their in charge of is Borderlands and even I find it to be dreadfully boring since I'm not interested in the humor of that series ...

Nobody gives a rats ass about brother in arms and we all know what happened with Duke Nukem or Aliens ...
