That's the tragic thing, their marketing screwed them royally cause they didn't distinguish themselves. Watching a lot of their ads and you could easily assume it's just like Overwatch. Bad marketing.
As for PC, SteamSpy estimates put it at 114 - 130k.
As for the game being a flop...I hate to say I hope so. Gearbox has been flaunting and taunting people with how they conned - yes *conned*, that's what I consider this - players into buying the steaming pile of crap that is Aliens: Colonial Marines for years. Whether game deserves it or not, don't know, but hey. Karma's a bitch.
