If you mean by the removal of KB3035583 early on, I think this new push comes in the form of a new KB update so you'll wanna just check again to make sure if you have automatic updates just do a check for a folder called GWX, worst fuckin thing for me was that folder was taking a good few gigs of space on my C drive... which is a small enough 240gb SSD, if there is anything I want to dedicate that fast space to... it certainly to fuck isn't windows 10 update files lol....

Also sigh... falling for it myself, Update... to Windows 10, Sidegrade.... Adgrade... spywareGrade, annoygrade? there has to be a better term for GWX at this stage than upgrade software lol, it's gotten to the point of malware.

Yeah, Win 10 is basically where they brought back things that no one wanted removed and removed things that no one asked to be added (like tiles). That's not exactly an amazing development of an OS.

When DX12 becomes an actual factor and I know that my drivers will work, I'll probably get Win 10 eventually.

They need those engagement numbers... but seriously, there are really going too far upgrading people operating systems without them asking.   I will come homw sometimes and my computer will be reset because Microsoft deciced it was time to update.  I hate that shit... but who the hell wants to come home to a whole new operating system.  This is aggressiveness on a new level.  I bet you come NPD we are going to be hearing about how awesome windows 10 engagment is.  Well, if you shove it down people's throat, are they really engaged?

Don't mean to offend if you like and really meant congratz btw, I just have a fairly odd mix of old and new in my PC and want to stay with Win7 because I know the OS to be stable as all hell with my System and find no benefit in changing from it.

Again, to belabor the point, this and other shit like this is why I hate MS. Not because I think all the Xbox consoles have sucked, or that they have made bad games, but because of their business practices, and yes some of that extends into their Xbox practices over the years. They are one of the scummiest companies out there, and nothing Nintendo or Sony has done even comes close to the litany of offenses MS has perpetrated during the course of their existence. And also again, I hope so very much that they get nailed to the fucking cross with massive class action lawsuits over this deplorable nonsense.

They could've just killed support for older OS to encourage people to upgrade...
