The funny think is most the people commenting actually didn't watch the video since the kid involved wasn't white.

I feel bad for the dead gorilla and the kid that has to go back living with a irresponsible mother.

Shouldn't the barriers be good enough to stop a toddler falling in... like really,...

It's sad that the Gorilla had to die, the Parents should have done a better job but also the Zoo should have done a better job too.

Really the barrier failed at it's main function.

Didn't see this being posted here, so.. :

Seems to be deluded by God.

Yeah, Thank God your child was all protected and saved in the end. God seems to hate Gorillas.

Edit: Oops.. it's already on the first post.

Don't see how her being religious has any relevence, or how anything she said implies she thinks god hates Gorilla's.

All of a sudden everyone is a animal activist but i can assure you that everyone of these people would think/act diffrently if that would be their 4 year old child down there. What a hypocritical society.

That BIG IF will never happen to my child or child-to-be Mister.

Having more to say about how God protected her child than showing sympathy for the Gorilla which had to be killed.

As much as I love the support for an endangered species, I can't help but wonder how many animal activists regularly eat animals that are caged, tortured, and slaughtered.

As for me, I absolutely adore gorillas. They're very misunderstood animals. But the zoo made the right call here. A child's life is more important than a gorilla's life, and zoo staff couldn't anticipate what Harambe would do. He was already touching and dragging the kid - a tranq might have made things worse in the seconds it would take to sedate him.

It's a really sad story but it could have been much, much worse.

The thing that made me really sad about this story is that the Gorilla help the child up pushed him to safety. I don't think he was going to hurt the kid and taking him to his/her den doesn't mean he/she was going to eat him or hurt him. This is a very sad story and the Gorilla did nothing wrong and did not deserve the death sentence. It was the mothers fault and we don't see her getting the death sentence for being an idiot. Where the fuck was it implied that the Gorilla was going to hurt the kid? If someone fell down, I would help them too. The kid fell in a Gorilla's Zoo habitat. It wasn't a tigers or a bears. FFS this is the dumbest thing I've read in a while. The Gorilla would have been an asshole for letting the kid just laying there on the puddle. I saw absolutely ZERO acts of aggression by the Gorilla. People are so stupid to say god protected the child, if he did, then he did it through the Gorilla. So if she blames God. God should send her to hell for spitting in his face. //endofrant.

It is a problem of having to be there to see if the neglect was excessive. We cannot judge from the internet that easily.
