So who watched it tonight?

it was kinda awfull.. Chris Evan is like screaming all time.. they don't know anything about cars... its not amazingly shot with beautiful wide panorama shots and car porn..  its like 50% of the old show..

positive point: I did not hate Joey as much as i thought i would but that could have been because i was occuppied getting annoyed at Chris Evan..

you lucky man.. you can just press the button to skip it.. i had to watch the entire episode hoping it would get better in time.. 

WTF is that? is that the British Top Gear?!?!

At this point I would be fine if they shut down BBC TV altogether and just kept the online news.

I caught the end of it, when they were doing the thing with the Reliants. I felt a little bit underwhelmed. I understand the thinking behind the decision not to change the format, (aint broke, don't fix it), but it's just going to force people to compare the new team with the old. They should have completely rebuilt the show from the ground up, and developed it to suit the new team.

Top Gear worked as well as it did, because of the chemistry between the old team, and that just doesn't happen overnight. The new team will have a long way to go before they develop that magic.

6/10, could do better.

I still haven't seen it, but when they revealed the six+The Stig presenters, I started having concerns about the new show.

Still, I'll give it a few programs before deciding anything.

Most fun of this Top Gear is the twitter fall out.. Chris Evans calls it a succes, not understanding people were watching him bring awfull..

Now that I've seen the episode:

I can't comment on Sabine Schmitz because she was didn't appear long enough, Matt LeBlanc was ok albeit a bit distant and Chris Evans was awful. It's like he had to show off that he's in charge, saying the most things and appearing as much as he could. And I agree that he shouted too much, they should give him a better microphone.

Oh, and so far there's like zero chemistry between LeBlanc and Evans.

I heavily dislike the new test track for the guests (how can they cut out the "Follow Through"?) and the new test car, it's a (bad) commercial for Mini.

About the cars sections, the ViperVsVet one was ok, the Ariel Nomad clip was good and easily the best part of the show, but the UKvsUS ... that was terrible.
