I have to agree with the OP. Normally, I don't care about the ads, and I don't use an ad blocker, as I know that's what helps keep the site going. I've had lots of pages break or hang while trying to load an ad.

I am one annoying ad away from getting an ad blocker installed.

There are places where less than $18 will give your account a lifetime exception from ads.

It sucks and the idea that you need to pay to not be bombarded with ads is just.. ludicrous. I would gladly pay to support the site if the ads weren't so intrusive. But having those ads and then asking for money to remove them just makes me never want to give a penny.

That said, on PC I use Adblock. On mobile I just barely post.

Ads here seem to be made disgusting or annoying on purpose to make you enter this supporter program. I understand why they do that but it should be an option, not a need. Just use adblock
