Forums - Nintendo - My biggest Wii U dissapointment

Really big disappointment for me is the GC controller is limited to Smash U, despite being able to act as a replacement for the Pro or Classic controller..

my biggest dissapointment was that i cant access the BC features without owning a Wii-mote

Well you cant play any of the games without a wiimote, so why would you want to access it?

there are games you can play without the wiimote with a pro controller espacially the virtual console games

The Mario Tennis game sucking hard, how are they getting worse?

it was super rushed, should have been a summer 2016 game.

No, you need a wiimote to play games you downloaded on your Wii. Unless Nintendo recently changed it...

The controller was literally the biggest disappointment.

How do you even come up with an idea that horrid? Were the employees smoking weed and drinking when they came up with the idea for the Wii U?

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

It had potential. It was just never given much attention.

Sheesh what is so bad about it? It's just a standard controller with a screen on it.

The problem is that they never used it at all. If you want to innovate, use the innovation properly. I had nothing wrong with the motion controls. In fact, I enjoyed them due to the fact that Nintendo actually used it.

Some games used it pretty well like Super Mario Maker.

No denying that the Gamepad was just innovation for the sake of innovation, but technically it's not the Gamepad's fault Nintendo didn't do more with it. Plus do you really need innovation to enjoy gaming? I think all that matters is if the games are good and the controller doesn't get in the way of you playing them.
