No, you're not wrong. Actually, I commend you for standing up to the anti-GG bulls***. Like Aquamarine said in the NPD thread, GAF is immensely hated outside of the forum and this is one of the reasons why. The kind of responses GG supporters or neutrals get are extremely cultish. The forum really wants you to buy into the GG is a misogynistic, extreme right-wing movement and not question the notion. What really cracked up me up was when several people claimed that Eron Gjoni constantly harassed Zoe Quinn despite that he's the defendant, not the plaintiff

I can only skim that because my eyes are not what they used to be but it seems to me you're spot on. From what I can remember Gamergate was originally about corruption amongst games journalists, got ignored by a lot of 'journalists' until it could no longer be ignored and was then suddenly tranformed into an issue of sexism. A convenient transformation that allowed woman haters to spring from their mud huts and feminists to work their political voodoo.
