Quick question for you FE fans - I just finished chapter one but in the last fight I lost Laura (healer).  I've continued on into chapter two which is - as you know - all different characters now so it hasn't mattered - yet.

I assume the game will return to Micaiah at some point - will I miss Laura?  Should I redo that battle (and the following two now) or am I well enough just leaving her dead??

I realize my person way of playing has a lot to do with it and I'm torn on if I care but she does come in handy - at times.

Will another healer come along?  Or would I be forced to go without going forward?

There will probably times where you wish you still had her but overall she's not super useful throughout the game.  You can do without her though it may make some parts a little tougher than others.

It's indeed not ideal, but at least you don't have to think about that for a while. I think there are a few more battles you have to go through without a healer, but at a certain moment better healers will be at your disposal. I didn't use Laura a lot after Chapter 1. The only thing she's good for imo is to heal Micaiah so she can do sacrifice. Overall very weak character.

By the end of the game you should have Elinicia, Mist, and Micaiah as your best healers (in that order) so you shouldn't have any worries about not having Laura way way down the road either.

Hmm, I hardly used Elincia at the end anymore. One arrow and it's "bye bye". Pegasus nights are far too weak because of that terrible vulnarability to archers imo.

Any well-trained sage also works. My Soren had a C in staves (for Physic), and worked as my secondary healer when he wasn't murdering things with Rexcalibur.

Mist can turn out really sucky really fast unless she's babied.

Archers aren't around that much and as long as you're making sure you keep track of the movement/attack range she'll never get hit.  Even better, once the map has no archers... Elinicia is free to play and with her double-hit sword she gets pretty nasty.

Of course, that's all ignoring the fact that she is the single most mobile healing unit in all of Fire Emblem AFAIK.  Elinicia with Physic equals healing any time, anywhere.

Mist starts out pretty sucky so she needs a little babying. Get her over that initial hurdle (which really isn't that bad with a decent support) and she gets pretty awesome. A mounted healer 2nd only to Elinicia with a unique weapon capable of striking enemies at range for nice damage, she's nice.

Her only downside is that she has somewhat low attack.  I really wish she had more.

I loved her in the dragons battle and the one before with her team. Indeed her range + healing is great. But in the finals I had enough just using Micaiah. Mist wasn't really good in my game.

And hey guys: We made it to 8 pages! Must be the game with the highest posts/sales ratio!
