You're right, my bad. Fixed.

Yeah, after seeing all the stuff written by you guys, I'm gunna have to change, but it's gunna be hard. I poured like 70-80 hrs into that game, and it's sort of burned into me. So far the only thing I changed was to stop using the laguz. Next time I'll have to use Elincia. She's like a mini-Haar essentially, right?

By the end of the game Elincia is more useful than Haar thanks to Amiti having infinite uses and giving her Attack X 2 (and her ability to heal helps too).

Interesting, then I'll have to build her up the next chance I get. It may be in a while though I'm guessing, since I'm in the early part of story 3 (burning things mission).

I DID IT!!!!! Only 4 playthroughs in a row too. I was afraid it might be at least double that. The first time I got to him he killed me again easily but I was able to count his movement spaces (since it doesnt show you in Hard mode) so it wasnt a complete waste.

Second playthrough I made some silly mistakes and got shinnon killed so I restarted.

Third playthrough I dodged one of the BK attacks with Ike so he survived.... meanwhile I was so excited I forgot to position the rest of my army and ended my turn so Soren and Nephenee were both killed.

Fourth playthrough went sooo smooth. Learning from all of my previous battles I changed it up a bit. Cancelled my support with Oscar and started a new one between Ike and Gatrie (whom I never use and was at like level 6 I think) for the extra avoid bonus (since Oscar cant make it to the BK because apparently horses cant walk through water that appears about 3 inches deep for another character to walk through). Gatrie had super slow movement due to his size and the terrain but made it where I needed him to on about turn 10 or so. Instead of using vigor with reyson I used bliss on Ike and Shinnon to boost their Biorythms. That turned out to be a big help. So Ike, Haar, Nephenee, Soren and Shinnon stomped there way through everyone and positioned themselves to prepare for the BK. I used Reyson to talk to the birds when they entered and just sent them down to the bottom and left them ready to revert to beast form incase I needed back up. Oscar just stayed near the start and took care of Wyvern riders when they came for Reyson. So my group near the BK got there a few turns earlier than expected due to a huge amount of critical hits and shinnon and soren activating adept every chance they got. Also I sold a few items to afford buying Ike some Wing Blades and he butchered a lot of archers which was helpful. Turn 11 BK head towards my party but isnt quite close enough yet. Turn 12 BK is one space out of range for his ranged attack so I use Haar to kill the one baddie in between Ike and the BK. Ike steps in and takes a swing..... No damage, BK connects a devastating blow to Ike leaving him mortally wounded.... and misses the second attack thanks to Ike's improved biorythm and new support. Ulki swoops in and rescues Ike carrying him off to safety. Soren kills one more badguy and then gets grabbed up by Janaff. Everyone runs for the hills. Mission done. Ill have you-know-who recruited in no time.

I plowed through the next few missions too. Im on Part 3 final now. Oscar, Haar, Shinnon, all got promoted and Soren and Nephenee are really close to. Not that Soren needs to. Hes maxed out every stat except a few points in luck and one point in strength. I havent even given him any power up items or much BEXP. Hes just gaining crazy stats when he levels. Ikes at 20 now too and waiting to be promoted.

Congrats!  I'm sure revenge will be sweet later for all the trouble you went through.  ^_^

My team is just slaughtering everything in site now. I was really struggling on Hard until I got a few unit levelled up enough. Also the lack of cash with Ike was started to be felt and I had to sell equipment that could have been used otherwise to afford some vulneraries and such. I think itll be smooth sailing from now on.

That's the way Part 3 usually works...

I love the one where you get to burn the supplies and round up the senators. Tons of fun.
