Yeah, the laguz are quite bad. Lethe, Muariam, and Mordecai were always on my team in PoR, and they lead the offensive for me. In RD, I hate having them out. In 2-9 I think, when your surrounded by the enemy outside your castle (you have to defend for 15 turns and kill the boss) I just kept them standing the whole time, protecting Elincia. I never moved them, since they suck so harsh. In PoR they could take 3-5 hits without dying, but here in RD, they take so much damage from any hit. They do have the ability to strike back though, when not transformed, which is good, but not at the price that it came.

Why were you protecting Elincia? She should be leading that charge striking fear into the hearts of any enemies not within range of a bow user! Heck, she finally gets Amiti for that battle which is Crimean for "Elincia is coming to kill you now."

I dunno, I suppose I'm in the same mind-set as PoR, when I had to hide her all the time. I guess I have to change my thinking.

Elincia is powerful, has a huge movement range, quadruple attacks everything thanks to Amiti, and is easily the best healer in the game (Mist and Micaiah take 2nd and 3rd respectively).  Due to the nature of being 3rd tier, she likely won't cap everything without items, but she's pretty awesome in just about every way.

Beware of archers though.

Guys, Ryson is a laguz, and he's freakin' awesome, lol. Other than that, I resent them. They are like my beroc units, but every few turns, they turn into useless units that can't attack. Sucks.

My Elincia was 2 shotting everything at the LONG final chapter of part 2, and then she got ran upon and 1 shotted by a lowbowman.

That was the longest I've played a map and had to restart it, so far.

I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Elincia is wild in this game. On that mission you mentioned where you have to defend the castle I had to seriously hold back from using her so that others could kill things and get some EXP. When i played through on normal though with her and the heron giving her double turns she could wipe the map out all by herself, Or kill someone and then heal a teamate. As long as you protect her from archers she's a killing machine.

@zen
I dont really count the three heron siblings in my most important/most useless lists because they really have a small role in the battles. I find the cant often keep up with my soldiers because they have to hold back out of fear of annihilation. The are hugely helpful on levels that require you to blockade a passage becuase they can give your ranged fighters extra "free" attacks.

Im off work now guys. So wish me luck as I attempt to tackle mission 3-7 and not be killed by the BK.

You'll need it...

I bought this game a while back but still haven't opened it. Time to start it?

I am in 4-prologue. There were too many units to split into 3 teams, I hope I don`t screw up later on. At least I saved before that chapter.

Throw your PoR mindset out of the window. For the most part characters that were weak in PoR are much better in RD.

SPOILER!!!

Just wait till you get too 3-12(around there) and Ike is the boss. He starts moving on turn 10, you better start running on turn 9, lol.

Please Ike, don't solo my army.

Hey Zen, try to not throw too many spoilers out.  We've had at least 3 people in this thread who haven't played the game yet. I know it's released and all but the fewer spoilers the better.  ^_^
