Is there any stopping Disney?

No not really. Maybe back when they were starting out with their first few movies but now they are a mega giant that has it's fingers in so many industries that they can't go bust overnight and can't be singlehandedly defeated by someone much smaller like Rainmaker, they never had a chance and neither will R&C vs most Disney IP's, they are just more popular and make much more money.

Talk about clickbait titles. Interesting to see people still falling for it, too.

As for fighting the big studios, games aimed at kids are all about advertising and money. Kids don't give a damn about Metacritic or reviews, they want to see what you make them want to see with avalanche advertising. It doesn't matter if your movie has 2 minutes of good material total as long as you can stuff those 2 minutes into a commercial and hammer them over the head with it.

People expect greatness theses days, especially when it comes to animation. It will have a better life on home video and then tv.

After finding the original article and actually reading it, there was no blame put on Disney at all.

They simply said that the film did not do as well as expected and that a large part of the reason is because the current blockbuster movies gained all the attention during their release. Those blockbusters just happened to be owned by Disney.

The title of the article and this thread are akin to someone saying they personally blame God and the Earth for for making it rain on a day they tried to sell sunglasses. The studio was making an observation, not blaming anyone for anything.

It was a decent movie but Disney's not to blame.

This movie is one of the worst reviewed movies this year.  Rotten Tomatoes rating of 16% which is dreadfully awful.

I just used the title the article used.  People shouldn't take headings at face value anyway. Like journalists aren't the most integral people around lol

Well I've watched it and like i said it's decent.  The kids and adults that went to watch it in theatre when I went seemed to enjoy it and got a good laugh here and there.  It's no where near the amazing animation movies done by Disney and Dreamworks but it's not the worst I've seen.  Has more of a straight-to-DVD/Blu-ray feel.
