If I could just remove the DS Zelda's I'd have no problem saying Zelda.

Definitely Metal Gear Solid.
Stealth mechanics get taken down and rebuilt every game. They only got better. Evolution of MGS is the most defined of all series.


That's hard. Especially with long standing series. It could have been Metroid but sadly Other M exists.
To me the Smash Bros series is flawless, I've enjoyed every game I've played (never played 64 though).
Uncharted 3 was disappointing but not bad so Uncharted could fit too.

Pretty much, Uncharted has Golden Abyss, Dragon Quest has 10, Final Fantasy has 13 and others, Zelda has CDi Games, Pokemon has too much water, Etc Etc. Mario Kart has the GBA, Civilization has Civ V (without DLC). I can break down any game and I can find the black sheep.
