Forums - Gaming - Capcom Now Prioritizing "Completeness," Even If That Means Delays

Better late than never I guess. Hoping they will eventually release a version of SF5 will all content on disc.

I have zero doubt that they will put out a 'Definitive' or "GOTY" physical edition later down the line just like Bloodborne and Dying Light. It is a clever way to create hype/marketing push again and get a second wind of sales. Sony will probably bundle it heavily also.

Capcom is my favorite 3rd party dev for a reason. They aren't perfect, but they care and they are learning.

And they make games that are games first. This news makes me unbelievably happy as one who was severely disappointed by the end result of SFV.

I wonder if this means that the current Street Fighter V will not be the only version. ;)

So holiday 2017, we'll be seeing Street Fighter V: The complete version. 70 dollars of completeness.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

The 1.4m number that Capcom gave for SFV is actually shipped, not sold. So we don't know actual sales for SFV yet. I'm guessing SFV is around 1m sold including digital, Pokken maybe 700-800k since Wii U sales are weak in Europe

Pretty much the same as in Japan.

But Europe is ps4 best territory which might have helped sf5 due to install base.

Thats true.

Wow, you mean to tell me they're doing something every other publisher who aren't selfish fucking pricks are doing.

Kinda sad that it reached the point where they had to come out and say this, but still good news.

Why not? look at games like destiny who sell a lot units despite lacking in content at launch, for some reasons gamers today make exception for that game while SF5 gets razed

Its a fighting game. They didnt even include an arcade mode. Thats just sad.

Arcade mode is pointless in todays age, SF5 wasnt even an aracde game to begin unlike its predessors. Survival mode is practley the same
