So with Emily Rogers leak about NX not being x86 and Nintendo saying NX is 2017 bound, I thought I'd revisit some rumours and see who got what right.
He could have just gotten lucky on two of these though. But I take these things with a grain of salt, and they are fun. Apologies if this has been posted already and I missed it. A couple others havegotten the no x86 right as well I think like this one https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoNX/comments/4cnkr8/i_am_a_developer_working_on_an_rpg_for_the_nx_ask/?sort=confidencel. Both sem to be seemingly clueless about the handheld. There were two other Reddit leaks but they seem far more iffy now, even moreso than before. In about two or three months I'm guessing after more info leaks or Nintendo makes more announcements I'm eager to see who got what right .

On release date
Based on the pace of your work, and deadlines and such, do you believe the NX will have a late 2016 release? And also, Is it as easy to develop for as people are making it out to be?

Signs point towards early 2017.

You honestly think they would miss the huge Christmas window? If they don't release it this holiday season, it'll be the next.
On NX power
How do the games look running on the hardware? Would you say it is underpowered like wii and wii u were?

The games look great. The full-screen controller lets us do a lot of fun things, and it makes it a lot easier to get away with using context sensitive buttons.
It's a little bit above the PS4 in power, so anything that runs on it will also be able to run on the NX.
On x86
Is it ARM or x86? Also, cartridges, discs, or digital-only?

ARM, our devkit uses discs, but it might not be that way in the final system.
