You mean the internet attention whore who's ben caught lying on multiple occasions? Most of her guesses are things that are common sense. I'm sure most of us here could predict a lot of the things she said.

Do you have anything she posted that was actually 100% accurate AND that a long time Nintendo fan couldn't predict? I would very much like to see it. From what I've noticed, she lies and she's in it for the attention.

Also is the hardware even 100% finalized?

Paper Mario wasn't "common sence." I struggle to think about a single thing she's been wrong about in the past 3 years. Refresh my memory.

Intelligent Systems had a job listing for what looked like Paper Mario for Wii U like a full year before Emily said anything, so it was rumored plenty, I even said Paper Mario could be one of the Wii U's "winding down/end of generation" games.

She's been wrong before, I believe she said Star Fox for Wii U was not happening, among other things she's gotten wrong.

Isnt it already clear that NX is an ARM CPU + latest AMD GPU?

the hardware is not even in production, yet.

Pretty much likely to be true, but the dev kits would give some implication of what they are going for. Or at the very least, planning.

I struggle to understand how we can say we have a source more reliable than Emily. Some folks are setting themselves up for disaster if they want to believe internet rumors over official sources. Its utter madness.

The Nx will not be more powerful than the PS4 but neither is the Xbox One and it gets plenty of 3rd party support.

Its crazy to think that a random 'insider' has more knowledge yhan an actual employees. And making her out to be this pathological liar is really disturbing.

Nintendo is not Microsoft. Since when is PS4 some uber-miracle console? It's outdated today plain and simple, as evidence by Sony themselves readying PS4 Neo. PS4 is nothing special.

That said Nintendo will probably do something stupid like go lower for shits n' giggles. They're probably not getting a ton of third party support anyway.

Yikes. She was quoted as saying it wasn't as powerful. My argument is that it doesn't need to be. What is your beef with the PS4? Nintendo for its part excells at getting performance out of its consoles and, with the right approach,  it shouldn't be hard for developers to optimize it either.  The Nx needs 3 things to be successful:

Strong exclusive lineup: check

Third party support: so far seems likely so check

Competitive pricing: not sold at a loss so not expensive to make... check

If it plays to its strengths it doesn't have to be a powerful behemoth.

just think about it, more power than the gpu of the ps4 and xbox one and less power consumption (something that Nintendo loves), amd is making the gpu for the nx and both polaris and nx are months away... do you need an official confirmation? Plus Nintendo's logo is red again.

Although more power is always better... Nintendo Hasn't held the performance edge since the Nintendo 64, so don't get your hopes up thinking they will win this generation on performance merits alone.

I'm almost 100% certain it'll use a custom Polaris 11/Zen based APU. We pretty much know they're using AMD tech because of what AMD has said about their "design wins" and Nintendo would be dumb to release with outdated AMD tech when they're going up against PS4 and PS4K Neo. Only way it doesn't use Polaris/Zen is if Nintendo decided to go with ARM for unified console/handheld reasons, but honestly if they went with ARM the console is going to be quite weak, likely weaker than PS4, let alone PS4K Neo, possibly even weaker than XB1, which would not be a good position to be in if they want ports of current gen 3rd party games.

Just because it might use ARM, doesn't mean it will be weak. The fastest ARM cores are faster than Jaguar.

Nothing is clear. Only rumours.

I think there has been a general consensus that the mobile portion of NX will use ARM and the home console portion will use x86.

AMD has also done R&D that combined x86, ARM and GCN cores onto the same chip... So that is a possibility as well, the x86 and GCN cores could also be power gated and turned off completely when in a "mobile" mode, then turn on when stationed and connected to mains power.

If history (Xbox One) is anything to go by, having less Power than the Playstation 4 is setting yourself up for excessive ridicule that may affect sales, although I agree with you, it wouldn't be a wise move on Nintendo's part.

Also Microsoft has lost some 3rd party support this Generation already anyway.

She was quoted as saying in reference to what 10k was saying about Polaris, which could be something in the realm of a 4-5 TFLOP+ GPU (Polaris 10).

We know squat about the third party support but EA seems non-commital so that doesn't bode well for third party support.

Pricing is overrated, by the time the NX comes to market both the PS4 and XB1 will be $299 or less (affordable enough for most anyone). You won't be able to gain traction by having a "cheap" console.

I predicted a 2017 release. She couldn't even predict that, lol.

She was quoted as saying it wasn't as powerful as the PS4 Neo, as that was where the height of the rumors got to on NeoGaf. Many of the early rumors had already pegged the NX to be more capable then both of the current systems and she never disproved those. It's just weird to me that people think it is feasible for Sony to release a custom Polaris gpu console but not Nintendo!
