Forums - Sales - SFV flops on PC...Why?

It undersold on PC and PS4 because of its terrible launch. There is nothing more than that. Now, the discrepancie betwenn versions can be atributed to a higher marketing towards the console version, fighting games being more predominant on consoles, and Street Fighter, as it was always a console game, have a bigger fanbase on(surprise surprise) consoles.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I thought fighting games usually perform poorly on PC compared to Consoles,

These type of games don't sell good on PC.

Didn't it flop everywhere xD

Lack of content

Connectivity issues

Etc

The review system destroyed SFV's hype on PC. As someone said - PC gamers are more aware of how a game is like through reviews than console gamers. Then there's the fact that console versions will always sell more than PC.

Is much Arrogance to state that Console Gamers are less aware of how a game is doing than PC Gamers, both have the same awareness and both aren't Retard to purchase something broken without being aware of that, Street Fighter V sold on Mortal Kombat X's level on the Launch, and it sold over 160 Thousands on PC where the best selling fighting game of Steam only sold 690 Thousands.

The fighting game of the generation is Killer Instinct. Which will also be on PC and also be free-to-play. That is Street Fighters competition.

Also keep in mind that PC games have longer legs... There are PS2/Xbox/Gamecube era games (And earlier!) on Steam which will still hit the top of the sales charts once they are on sale.. On console they have fallen into obscurity never to gain another single sold copy again.

Plus fighting games aren't the PC's forte'. Whilst perfectly playable for gamers with a controller, it's garbage on a keyboard in my opinion.

Would love for there to be some digital tracking on vgchartz. Would make comparing PC and Console fair or for Valve to come to the party and release stats.

Regardless of the title or if it flopped or not, games regularly sell more on consoles most of the time.

I Think that this is unfair, for Digital we would only have Steam's numbers and if a game is Multiplataform PS4/Xone/PC we would never know the fully digital data.

Lack of content at release, and way more options on PC rather than PS4. Plus, if they have to wait, they might as well they wait for a discount.

This.  If a game is perceived as bad value, they're more than happy to wait and get it at a discount.  Capcom should've known better.

Its not arrogance but fact.

There are far more casual gamers (and by casual I mean gamers that buy games but do not visit forums/review sites) that buy a console that is ready to go than a custom/pre-built PC for gaming unless you are saying that there are more PC gamers than there console gamers.

I'm pretty damn sure there are far more people who buy games on consoles just by the brand name rather than looking up reviews.

When you buy a game from the store or online - more than likely there wont be any mention of reviews or scores unlike on Steam where it actually shows you the rating on the same screen as the purchase button.

Isn't a fact and is 100% Arrogance, PC have more Casual than Consoles Only on League of Legends already is 150-200 Millions of Casual Players, and Phones have more Casual than PC, 60US$ isn't cheap and people don't throw away money without seeing something about the game, The Majority see with Youtubers

And you are wrong, people on Console does not are loyal to a Brand, because of that After PS2, the Wii sold more than PS3, and the Xbox 360 was a competition, people go for where the games are.

And again, both markets have the Same awareness about the games they are purchasing, if PC Market is much "Smarter" or "Aware" than the other markets, so why Batman Arkhan Knight even after so much bad reviews sold 550-600 Thousands on PC ?, while The Witcher 3 sold 1.4 Millions (on Steam, it sold more on other sites but i don't have the numbers)
