nintendo, microsoft, sega, billy jo and the bob dolls..
who cares at the sony headquarters where the market share went at the end of the road
all that matters for sony is, that it's gone..

Sony fans are really desperate, they celebrate every week like it sold out the Xbox360 lifetime.

i like my playstations
but celebrating this while sony is losing some huge market share this gen is a little bit... strange...

but i can understand that after a tough year for sony some guys are a little over-excited here..

Gran Turismo is MUCH bigger than FF.  The lowest selling GT so far was GT4 at 8.89 million (and it's still selling, albeit very slowly), where as the HIGHEST selling FF was FFVII at 9.72 million, less than a million more.  FFXII has only sold 5.02 million so far.

I was about to say that. People are hyping FF 13 so much they've forgotten that whilst it is a huge franchise it most definitely isn't the biggest in the business.

Both of you make the mistake of using the past tense.  Ain't over by a long shot.  And the console w/ the longest life will of course be PS3.  I'm not claiming anything specific about sales, here.  It's just that if Sony doesn't quite reach the ABSOLUTE DOMINATION with PS3 that it did with PS2....oh well, hey Microsoft, look at Sony: that's how you make LOTS and LOTS of money with gaming consoles.

Can Wii beat PS2 numbers?  Probably not.

Look, I like Nintendo, just.......this isn't completely a zero sum game.   There will be tons and tons of PS3/Wii dual owners (far mor than 360/Wii by gen-end), and at least 10 million 360 owners (incl. future ones) will buy a PS3 at some later point in time, after 360 is buried and unsupported.

In other news the sun rose (and set) this week and all the same stuff happened - although it did snow in London over Easter weekend which was kind of new... oh and games consoles sold roughly the same they did the week before...
