Conference Starting

Hype 22 100.00%

Total:22

Whoa, I just got serious VGChartz deja vu...

I'll throw my analysis in the ring, too:

Phil's tribute to shooting victims - seemed heartfelt, nice gesture
Gears - graphics and mechanics look sweet, worried a bit about scripted sequences
Killer Instinct/RAAM - sure, why not
Forza Horizon 3 - great graphics, great online, great gameplay
ReCore - gameplay didn't wow me
Final Fantasy XV - if the game plays like the demo, it's going to be lousy
Battlefield 1 - encore trailer, but still has promise
Minecraft - presentation started to drag at this point
Custom controllers - sure, why not
Inside - why are we still waiting on this game?
Limbo FREE - nice!
Indie sizzle reel - disappointing Cuphead and/or Below didn't get more screen time
We Happy Few - demo was overlong but provocative stuff
Gwent - after Hearthstone I believe a card game can be great
Tekken 7 - looks good! Harada is the man
Tekken Tag 2 FREE - nice!
Dead Rising 4 - looks OK
Scalebound - shaping up nicely. Love the combat and co-op options
Sea of Thieves - pleasantly shocked this looks so good. But how big is the world?
State of Decay - first game was a happy surprise, so keep 'em coming!
Halo Wars 2 - I'm a gameplay trailer man, but holy heck that was an awesome cinematic trailer
Halo Wars 2 beta - bring it on!
Project Scorpio - not interested

I'd give it a 7/10. Some interesting gameplay, but no surprises and some pacing problems in the middle.

Tekken 7 - looks good! Harada is the man
Tekken Tag 2 FREE - nice!
Dead Rising 4 - looks OK
Scalebound - Looks better than last time, but still not great.
Sea of Thieves - pleasantly shocked this looks so good. But will this suffer the same fate as Evolve?
State of Decay - first game was a happy surprise, so keep 'em coming!
Halo Wars 2 - I'm a gameplay trailer man, but holy heck that was an awesome cinematic trailer

Project Scorpio - Somewhat Interested.

I bolded the parts I would change, but yeah. I agree with you on most of this.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

We Happy Few looks cool, Forza looks gorgeous as always. Nothing else did anything for me.

FFXV, I think I've made up my mind not to buy. I'll re-look at the game when it's out and people are playing, but that just lost any interest I had.

Scorpio, sounds cool and I am curious to learn more, particuarly pricing, but with pretty much everything shifting to Win 10 and some stuff on steam kinda redundant for me.

Don't ruin the moment

Currently Playing: Rocket League (PC/PS4), Dead Cells (PC)

LordyPlays on YouTube

ReCore's trailer kinda got me hyped. Looks like it could be fun.

Lack of surprises killed the fun of the conference though. Also XBOX exclusives are dead, so that's kinda interesting.

The game is only 39.99$ so there is no reason to not go for it if your interested.

A weird "funeral" conference. Almost no new announcement (State of Decay and the apparently non-exclusive Dead Rising 4?) , everything is on PC, they announce a really interesting new Slim console and then they kill it by announcing that there will be a better console next year.

The overall message and official strategy I'm getting is really "The XOne failed and is dead, play with us on PC or let's try again from scratch with Scorpio next year". Pretty weird feeling about it...

The downplay is strong in you.

When first i read the rumors about xbox slim and scorpio i say ms finally kill the xbone with the 199$ and go for the new xboxtwo
Well today we see MS clearly kill the xbone he DONE THATS IT
They announce the slim has price the same with fat and more? all '' exclusives on pc? perfect way to make xbox fans don't buy it and wait for the xbox two
The show now, if Forza 3 horizon was 1,5 hour long gameplay maybe it was the best MS E3 ever, the game is amazing
I was wait to see the recore the most intresting game for me last year ms E3 and we see this? very disapoint i m not even notice is coming the same month with forza

How you word things in this post doesn't really make sense and is confusing.

Proud to be a Californian.

And yet did I say anything wrong? All on PC, almost no new announcements, cool new Slim version but please wait next year for our awesome next console. What's wrong in this? That's their new strategy with PC gaming in mind, they just screwed up their Scorpio announcement by announcing it a year too early, wich kills the current XBox One (and sadly the Slim too) even faster than the PC focus does. A Scorpio announcement at E3 2017 would have been a lot better.

I feel like you, and others, look at the "all on PC" thing with far too hardcore of a video game players mindset.  The casual fan who plays an XB1, the majority of the people who play on it, are not giving even one shit about whether the games are available on PC or anywhere else.  Those of us who are on the boards, sure they are losing some sales perhaps with us.  The people who just walk into Target to buy themselves/their kids the latest system their friends have, nope.

Agreed Who cares you get more value with your game now and cross play on multiplayer means that games will be supported more. It's a win win wether you buy an MS game on PC you are still supporting Xbox at the end of the day.

They made a good conference from what they had, but I would've liked to see more of Cuphead and ReCore. However I'm a bit miffed by the lack of new game announcements.
