Forums - Politics Discussion - Scientists on Climate Change: "Why would we f@ck with you!?"

^^ totally agree with Skratchy and Shadow1980 on this.

Anyway let me first say Palin, is a muppet.

As others have said, even if there have been spikes and drops in temperature over the years, why wouldn't we want to move away from pollutants, nuclear power stations, coal and oil and move into renewable energy. This is not only good from a local stand point (i.e you don't have to rely on other countries) but you also don't end up making more of a mess of the planet.

If you've been to china (and I have) I can tell you that the pollution there is an absolute joke, why wouldn't you not want to make your own environment cleaner and better to live in. People are dying in china due to pollutants, in this day and age, pretty ridiculous.

I personally think humans do have an impact, I can say without much scientific data that humans impact on the earth is not a positive one, if anyone denies that they they probably don't know much of the world other than their own back yard. Will this impact have a change not the weather, I really don't know, but lets be honest, humans have not been great to this planet so far, so why would anyone deny its not going to have some form of impact.

Global warming/cooling/climate change all distract from the true problems with fossil fuels and pollution. Ones of the reasons I do not like the attention it gets for the lack of damage or control we have over it. The more "climate change" is in the headlines taking all attention the less people will work to fix the real problems

Because it's not scientists, it's socialist elites who claim to represent the scientific community and who really just want to justify carbon taxes and additional government regulation to further their vision of worldwide socialism.

Scientists like Dr. Roy Spencer and meteorologists like Philippe Verdier have lost their jobs speaking out against the political movement of global warming. Nobody in the scientific community is going to share their real opinions on the subject of global warming in this climate of fear and oppression on the part of socialists. In Socialist Russia, they would hang you for speaking out against the government, in the socialist west they will just cut off your funding and take away your job, the end result though is the same when it comes to freedom of expression.

That is because I don't actually care about convincing you of my point.  I merely want to make known to the world where I stand on this subject so that when the day comes and westerners finally understand how horrid and evil government is I can point to posts like my last one and show future generations that I wasn't a lemming.

Seems awfully vain.

Well, I'm a millennial social conservative who lives in Canada.  I'm outnumbered 100 to 1 and I have long given up trying to convince people.  I have to take my stand somehow, though.  For the record, I have no hard feelings toward you and I apologize if my post came off as rude.

By giving up, your chances of convincing anyone falls to 0.
