Nah, I think it's going to stale at 94, which is pretty stellar (UC2 got a 96 but it was a game that surprised a lot of people as well).

Yeah, that kinda sucks, but it's still considered to be as good as the first Dark Souls, and for such a niche game, it's fantastic.

Well there were countless examples of liniar games flopping in score on metacritic in recent times, see Quantum Break. Why not comparing game A to B?

Quantum Break's issues weren't related to its linearity, but because of its average storyline, the fact that your choices don't have the influence on the story the studio promised, and overall unimpressive gunfights.

Uncharted 2, The Last Of Us, Gears Of War, Halo... So many linear games have left a mark on video gaming history.

Open World doesn't make a game great. Pacing, gameplay, and story do.

Yeah last gen. This gen all liniar games flopped so for in metacritic, but these reviewers at metacritic seem to make an exeption for Naughty Dog.

U4 doesnt have different endings either

Do you really struggle to accept the fact that all linear games so far this gen have been underwhelming while Naughty Dog nailed it, as they've been doing it since the first Crash Bandicoot ?

That's kinda sad.

Don't bother with him. Complete waste of time.

94 so far, fucking awesome. its not like i truly care for metacritic or base my purchasing habits on it, but its great for ND and the Uncharted series to end on such a high note.

Agreed, Metacritic has proven to be unreliable a lot of times, but it's good for the industry when great games get praised, because even if MC isn't an absolute truth, it's definitely being looked at a lot.

sadly, people look at the score and dont look at the content of the reviews. (sometimes i dont blame them, as reviews contain spoilers sometimes)

but what boggles my mind is how you could rate art with a mathmatical metric.

Im so good at prédictions

This game is exactly what i thought, the perfect mix between U qualities and TLOU qualities.

Hope fully it stays at 94 , to hold thé title od best game of this génération until GTA( asidd from ports from lasr gen )

It'll most likely drop to 93 once IGN (8.8) and Shacknews (8.0) scores have been added.

Oh yeah :(  Plus there is polygon.

Hope fully IGN will come back to reason since they put 9,3 at TR ( their review is still in progress, like thé one of shacknews , which is 9 btw )

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Well, as much as I agree with this statement, it's kinda needed for such a wide industry.
Some people base their purchases on the review scores.
Also it draws the attention.

You know, the "accolades" trailers, etc...

Polygon actually gave Uncharted 4 a 9, which is pretty high for them.

Good to know that Shacknews has it at a 9 intstead, on Metacritic it was listed at an 8.

its not needed, its just used as a marketing tool, which i get but it doesnt mean that rating a game makes much sense
