Im just saying its possible. Just like you.

Not like me, I'm not relying on any random possibility even if it has a 0.1% chance of being true just so I can keep posting, only the ones that hold weight and make the most sense thus are most likely to be true do I back.

It does make more sense, but that doesnt mean its true.

They give them the information they need for the upcoming quarter. They wont give them updates on stuff a year in advance.

NX has been in R&D for years. Where their investment is going is relevant information ever since the project started.
And as a serious company, Nintendo need to have a laid out plan from the beginning. This is when we start, and this is when we estimate we will be finished, and here is where we start making a profit, etc.

This is especially important because the company's earnings tend to go down a lot during the early stages of R&D for the next console. So investors need to know when earnings are expected to go up again. Which is when the console is released.

and they got that information in the meeting.

In the case of NX being internally delayed, it the makes the most sense out of every other possibility as it's true in every sense except Nintendo officially and outright confirming it. Without the latter yes we can not say it's 100% fact, just 99.9%, but the thing is it makes far more sense to believe the reason for March release was a delay rather than anything else, namely Nintendo being stupid as most other possibilitys imply.

Yeah, because Nintendo is always SO smart...

It might be true, but Im just sick of everyone who thought the NX would launch in 2016 make this point all the time. Its like "Well it was clearly supposed to launch in 2016, so I was basically right the whole time. You people who guessed 2017 just got lucky." No you were wrong and we were right. Get a crow avatar and deal with it.

Several years ago.
Nintendo have no reason to keep them in the dark on when they expect profits to rise after pooling billions into R&D for NX.
When billions are poured into projects like that, the investors want to know why.

So Nintendo knew the release date for the NX several years ago? Well there goes the delay theory...

Again it could be that ZeldaU was delayed to 2016 because its the 30th anniversary of the franchise. Maybe Zelda was supposed to come out for the WiiU first and then the NX 1 year later with added content and upgraded graphics. Then Nintendo realized that they wouldnt have enough games to cover the lead up to the NX, so they moved the launch to March 2017 and some WiiU games we dont know about yet got moved to the NX instead. Also what was Nintendo supposed to say? "We moved the NX from a holiday 2017 release to a March 2017 release because......hmmmm....we wanted less games for the launch?"

Wow you must really not realize how laughably stupid this idea is for you to bring it up again. Stop for a moment and think about what you're saying here. Delaying a game to meet a 30th anniversary. Delaying a game to meet a set date you knew about prior to deciding on the initial date. Think about that very carefully now.

What is this even supposed to mean? Even as a sarcastic response that doesn't make a lick of sense. There are a number of legitimate potential answers to the question that was asked, including a very simple "March 2017 was always the target release window. We didn't 'miss' the 2016 Holiday season, we are instead building momentum for a strong 2017 Holiday. A similar schedule led to an extremely strong first Holiday season for the Nintendo 3DS in 2011."

Several other factors could have resulted in the March 2017 plan. Your statement is utterly nonsensical.

Delaying Zelda to 2016 specifically for the 30th anniversary only to arbitrarily decide a year later to eschew the whole "30th anniversary" plan based on information you claim they had from the get-go is just ludicrous. Nintendo would have driven itself out of business decades ago if it pushed products that were ready to ship back by a year and a half on a mere whim as you suggest.

Yeah...

That's pretty much why the referee shouldn't have decided to give the 2017 folks the win. The reasoning capabilities are awful, nevermind that the 2016 vs. 2017 arguments weren't about a difference of four months, but rather a full year.

Keep telling yourself that.

It isn't about them being smart, it's about them not being that stupid.

Your claim was right but your reasoning wrong, our claim was wrong but our reasoning right. I wear the Crow avatar for the sake of the game but I still feel like a winner!

Zelda being delayed from 2015 to 2016 doesnt mean the NX was suppose to be released in 2016. Simple as that. It just doesnt.
