What if it is a Monster Rancher game? We heard news about TK wantint to revive the series, and Nintendo platforms have been great for the Catch'Em All games, like Pokemon or Youkai Watch. Making one of them before the system gets a proper Pokemon might be a great move.

That's a good guess, and Nintendo will probably be ok co-founding it.

This news is based on a random guy who wrote in a Tweet that Koei is developing games for NX. THIS IS NOT AN OFFICAIL STATEMENT FROM KOEI! If Koei writes it on their own Twitter account or in a press statement than it's OFFICIAL!!!

I don't just want Hyrule Warriors 2, I also want a new, Nintendo-exclusive Dynasty Warriors. It's time for Koei Tecmo to realise that they've built a new fanbase, they can cater to it with more than just Zelda. If the new Dynasty Warriors incorporated some of the ideas from HW, it would be really great.

I don't know if a DW game would do as well as HW2 or even a Fire Emblem variant tbh, a lot of the success came from not only how well the game is handled and the large amount of content but also the familiar lore.

It probably wouldn't do quite as well as HW2. But the point is, they have this vast IP they've developed, but that they really haven't put on Nintendo systems. And now they have this spinoff that uses the Zelda IP, that has ignited an interest in the genre. And meanwhile, Koei Tecmo has been saying that DW has been "declining", and HW has helped to freshen up the series.

Of course, the next step would be a DW game with Nintendo guest characters. Link, Zelda, Pit, Marth, and possibly Shulk (in an appropriate outfit) would work well as guest characters.

I suggest a Nintendo exclusive title, because it would allow them to introduce Nintendo system owners to the lore of Dynasty Warriors.

Why? To piss off their existing fans again like when Samurai Warriors 3 went Wii exclusive and flopped because of it?

I'd love to see Nintendo start to get Dynasty Warriors games, but certainly not as exclusives. There is absolutely no reason for them to be exclusive, obvious exceptions for spin offs based on Nintendo franchices, but the main games should stay multiplat.

"Flopped"? It comfortably outsold Samurai Warriors 4, which was on both PS3 and PS4, and it sold not that much less than Samurai Warriors 2, which was on the PS2 (and the PS3 and 360 versions didn't do very well at all). The only way to say it "flopped" is to compare it with the original Samurai Warriors, which was the only one that had strong sales.

And as I linked above, Koei Tecmo describes the Dynasty Warriors franchise as "declining". It's struggling. DW7 sold about 900,000 copies. DW8 sold about 600,000 copies, and their "Xtreme Legends" version for PS4 didn't even break 300,000 (and sold better in the West than in Japan).

Meanwhile, HW sold 1.2 million, and the 3DS version is already at 300,000 copies despite having been out for about 3 months in Japan and 1 month in the West. Nintendo system owners seem to be more interested in the genre than owners of other systems. And Nintendo system owners are more likely to buy exclusives. If it's sold as "this is like Hyrule Warriors, but with many more characters, a whole new universe, and some more guest characters from Nintendo", it'll do well, in my opinion.

And I do like how you say "the main games should stay multiplat" - most of the main games have been PS exclusive, and nobody complained about that. It's funny how people only start seriously complaining about exclusives if it's Nintendo that gets the exclusives.

Of course they have to, otherwise how could they say that they are developing for it ? plus during the 8th gen Koei Tecmo proved themselves capable of creating really good games with Fatal Frame V and Hyrule Warriors...

Atlus also confirmed they are making titles for the NX.
