For me...... HELL YEAH!
- Softwares like Splatoon, MK8, 8 Player Smash, Nintendo Land, SM3DW have really brought the smile out of my face!
- The community has been great as well.
Pocky Lover Boy!

I literally have just a small handful of Wii U games because the rest doesn't appeal to me.
So that's a big NO for satisfactory, Nintendo.
With the way they handled 2016, I would say no...
but I'm very satisfied with the games that have already been released and have not regretted my purchase.. Smash, MK8, 3D World, TWW HD, Splatoon, Xenoblade X, etc. are games that I have a lot of fun with and I'm still playing those games

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

Oh yeah. I've loved my time with WiiU. Love the commitment to local multiplayer. Love the new gameplay possibilities opened up by the GamePad (although Nintendo never really unlocked its full potential). Love the "Nindies" program. Love Miiverse, backward compatibility, and Virtual Console.
Some of the best games this generation have landed on WiiU: Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros., Splatoon, New Super Mario Bros. U, Freedom Planet, Runbow, Shovel Knight, Pokken Tournament, Guacamelee!, etc. And I still have a sizeable backlog to get through. I'd be surprised if I've played all the Wii U has to offer by the time NX shows up next March.
here's the deal, the wii u has some of the best games released this generation, and i dont see that changing any time soon. its a great console, really. BUT, they could have done a much better job. so... i am going to vote no on this one :/ sadly.
All I know is when I look at my shelves of games for the previous systems and compare them with my shelf of WiiU, the WiiU comes off quite poorly.
So no. In quality, quantity, scope and ambition; the system and most games have fallen short in at least one, some games even in all those categories. Games are mostly "okay", but we were used to much better than okay. We were used to games with a vision, whether we liked them or not. There are still good games out there, but the problem is those were of the type that used to be the tasty side-dish, and not the main course.
But anyway. Disappointed; yes, total loss; no, easily the worst Nintendo system I ever owned; definitely. It's part of the collection though and it'll stay that way. It'll stand right beside the other consoles, because you can't have every Nintendo system except one.
And I've even left the whole Zelda U soap-opera out of this...

This.
I can´t say that I didn´t have fun with the console. There is a good number of truly amazing games for it and several unique multiplayer experiences that you can´t find in other consoles. It was a worthy investment and I will still be playing its games for many months to come.......
But with the absence of some key Nintendo franchises on the system - Metroid, (a proper) Animal Crossing, (a proper) Fire Emblem, F-Zero, Punch-Out....... - and some poor work on usually fun Mario spin-offs (Mario Party/Tennis/ Sonic at the Olympic Games), I just can´t shake off the feeling that it could (should) be better. We saw more variety of their franchises on the Wii.

Strangely enough, I would have been ok with it if a) the NX had released this year or b) they hadn't stopped throwing support behind WiiU a year ago already.
The wiiUs game output was never stellar to begin with, but ever since last E3 it's been desastrous. Up until that point at least the games it did get were spectecular, but ever since then we've been graced by such turds as 'Animal crossing buy more Amiibos festival'.
I'm ok with support winding down eventually, but to expect consumers to carry a console with miniscule output through almost two years of it's life, years wich by all means should have been it's prime years, is ridiculous.
So yeah, I'm a bit disgruntled about this.
